TCBA Volunteer Opportunities

Patricia Bragg's practice as a lawyer and a lobbyist kept her in the hallowed halls of Congress and in the board rooms of major oil and gas corporations across the country. From the beginning of her career as a lawyer, she was often the only female in corporate meetings and negotiations. Her intellect and talent transcended any gender issues her colleagues may have had. She has garnered respect as one of the most talented oil and gas and natural resources lawyers in the country

As a partner in several Tulsa law firms, Ms. Bragg served as a mentor for younger women attorneys. Her giving nature and generosity flowed out into theTulsa community whereshedirected successfulfund-raising eventsandcoordinated theeffortsofcitizensandpublic officials in development of new city parks. Ms.Bragg advised women on availablecommunity resources and alternatives to domesticviolence, provided pro bono probate and domestic relations legal services, and provided hospice care for the terminally ill. She also assisted families in the adoption process, facilitating dialog between birthparents and prospective adoptive parents.

Ms. Bragg was a member of the Interstate Oil & Gas Compact Commission. In 1992, she testified before the U.S House of Representatives Subcommittee on Mining and Natural Resources and before the Oklahoma Legislature's Commission on Natural Gas Policy Also in 1992, she was the first womanelected to the International Society of Energy Advocates. Ms. BraggwasamemberoftheTrialProceedingsAdvisory Committee of theOklahoma Corporation Commission in 1985, and a member of the Blue Ribbon Advisory Committee on Natural Gas and Ratable Take of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission in 1983. She served asAdjunct Professor of Law at the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1982-83

Ms. Bragg was recognized in Who's Who in American Law (Marquis 8th Ed.). She authored material for noted publications in the oil and gas industry, including Federal Oil and Gas Royalty Simplification and Fairness Act Resource and Reference Manual, Practices & Procedures of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, American Petroleum Institute Energy Forum, and others.
