On Sept. 26, we’re taking our Vision in Education Leadership Award Dinner to the next level. Fifty years of changing lives in Tulsa deserves a special anniversary gala.

The event will be one of the first to take place in the new Grand Hall Ballroom at the newly remodeled Cox Business Convention Center.
“Any 50th anniversary is a huge milestone and deserves to be recognized in a special way,” says Kari Shults, interim vice president for advancement and president of the TCC Foundation. “We’ll be using this opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of our students and the impact the College has had on the greater Tulsa community.”
This year, we’re recognizing students whose lives were forever changed because of the educational opportunities they found at TCC – our Notable 50 Alumni. These honorees stand out for their noteworthy professional and personal accomplishments, their contributions to community, their leadership, and demonstration of TCC values. The evening will also feature videos celebrating TCC’s history and leaders, a presentation of all 50 Notables, remarks from current TCC President and CEO Leigh B. Goodson – along with a champagne toast – and live music and dancing.
Guests will also have an opportunity to see feature elements from A College For All: 50 Years of TCC, the College’s exhibit at the Tulsa Historical Society before many of the historical pieces will return to the archives and not be seen again for some time.
The Gala committee is being chaired by Michelle Hardesty, Dave Wadley, Andy Kinslow, and Russ Kirkpatrick.
Funds raised from the Gala provide TCC students with scholarships, leadership development opportunities, engagement and mentoring with academic scholars and leaders, and technology and equipment necessary to prepare for today’s work force.
