the SBA have been the No. 1 source of my business success. And many of the people I have met through the SBA have also become lifelong friends,” Miller added.

PM MOLD PM Mold is a vertically integrated plastics manufacturing firm that develops parts; creates molds; injects molds with plastic to make items; and then packages and ships them to end users involved in industries ranging from automotive to medical, electronics to military and agriculture to consumer goods. Well-known PM Mold customers include Koehler, Ideal Industries and ITW, said Larry Hauck, president and son of one of the founders, Norbert Hauck. PM Mold moved to Schaumburg from Franklin Park in 1974 and has been a vital part of its manufacturing community ever since. In fact, they recently executed a major expansion and now have operations and offices on both Estes and Morse Avenues and employ between 90 and 100 permanent and temporary employees, Hauck noted. In the early days, most of PM Mold’s work was mold making, but they expanded into injection mold products in the late 1980s and today 75% of their work involves injection molding while only 25% is actual moldmaking, Hauck said. “We have been part of the SBA for eight or nine years now and it has provided us with great networking opportunities,” he added. “We love being a part of it and learning about our peers. We have supported them by offering tours of our facility and hosting events and they have certainly supported us by helping us find new customers.” The firm is also developing a revolutionary plastic golf tee with a larger head than conventional wooden tees and a different, dual support shape which allows golfers less spin and greater distance, Hauck said.
Proceed Innovative LLC helps companies extend brand awareness and drive sales through interactive marketing strategies, search engine optimization, Google ads, creative SEO web design and web analytics consulting. “Today, many people use a company’s online presence to evaluate their reputation,” said Patrick Panayotov, client service nanager, “So, we work with these companies to design new, action-oriented websites and choose the specific words and phrases that are key to organic search engine optimization.” Over the past 18 months, Proceed Innovative has grown exponentially, moving from 600 square feet in a shared office space to an 1,800-square-foot private space in the same office building. The move has already allowed them to add four additional employees and they are anticipating the hiring of two more during 2020, Panayotov said. The firm’s membership in the SBA, he noted, has helped them gain customers and grow in size. For instance, Panayotov worked with two SBA members who suggested the use of NAIC’s company codes to generate leads for companies around the country that might be interested in becoming part of their RestorationMasterFinder service, and the effort was very successful. Panayotov has also been instrumental in the formation of a Young Professionals group within the SBA. He and several others pitched the idea to the SBA and the Young Professionals group was founded in early 2019. In fact, Panayotov served as its first chairman. “There are many great opportunities for young professionals in Schaumburg. They don’t have to go to Chicago to advance their careers,” he said. “So, we put together a group to help young professionals key into local opportunities through social, service and career development activities. We currently have about 15 active board members and our events often draw 50 to 60 people. We even have a popular book club.”
