CURBSIDE RECYCLING AND GARBAGE The village contracts through the Advanced Disposal Services for waste disposal and recycling. For more information, call Advanced Disposal at (262) 679-0860. Visit www.mtpleasantwi.gov/2308/GarbageRecycling for pick-up information.
HOUSE NUMBERING House numbering is required on all village homes for easy identification of a property in case of emergency. Be sure your home displays the numbers above or to the side of the front door and is visible from the street.
COMPOST SITE The village compost site is located north of Highway 20 (Washington Avenue at West Road) and accepts yard waste, garden waste, leaves and brush. The compost site is open from April to November (weather permitting). The site’s hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
OPEN FIRES/LEAF BURNING All residents must obtain an open burn permit/notify the fire department (at the non-emergency line) prior to any burning or recreation bonfire. SNOW/ICE REMOVAL Snow and ice removal is required by each owner or occupant of any building structure or unoccupied lot within the village. The owner or occupant must keep the sidewalk running along their lot free from snow and ice accumulation by 10 a.m. each day. ◗
