TRU.CULINARY COLLARD GREENS WITH SMOKED TURKEY 2 1/2 lbs of collard greens 2 smoked turkey legs 1 medium white onion , chopped 2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes 1 tsp of minced or chopped garlic 1/2 tsp of seasoning salt 15 oz of chicken broth 6 cups of water Start off by boiling your smoked turkey legs in 6 cups of water for until the meat falls off the bone. When the turkey is done remove the meat from the water( save it, don’t toss the water!) Remove the meat from the bone, then place the meat back into the pot. Now add your onions, jalapenos, garlic, and collards. Stir the ingredients. Add the seasoning salt, then the chicken broth. Stir. Cover the pot with the lid, and cook on low medium heat for about 1 hour. Be sure to stir periodically. Add more water or chicken broth if needed. Adjust seasonings. Serve!
