Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers and heifers under 450 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, over 450 lbs 3.00-7.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady to firm. Supply light. Near 19 percent of the offering were cows and 43 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 62 percent steers and bulls and 38 percent heifers. Light summertime run with several cattle expected next week. Friday’s Cattle on Feed Report showed placements at 116, a surprisingly high number that sent feeder futures nearly limit lower on Monday. The feedlot sector is pretty healthy at the moment but now appears to face a significant marketing challenge probably through years end after four consecutive months of high placement totals.

zucchini pound pork sausage c dry bread crumbs clove garlic, minced
1 (32 oz) jar spaghetti sauce 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 c shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Trim stems from zucchini and slice lengthwise. Scoop out seeds and put in bowl. Mix seeds with sausage, garlic, bread crumbs, and parmesan cheese. Stuff squash with sausage mixture and place in 9x13 inch baking pan. Pour sauce over squash and cover pan with foil. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until sausage is cooked. Remove foil and cover with mozzarella cheese. Cook until cheese is melted.
