Residents in the Miami County area have more health care options than ever with a new Kettering Health Network hospital in Troy. The nearly 150,000-square-foot hospital features 28 inpatient beds, an emergency department, intensive care unit, lab and imaging, surgery, cardiac testing, and physician offices that offer specialist care in spine, orthopedics, brain and cancer care, among others. Kettering Health Network has eight other hospitals in the region including Montgomery, Greene and Butler counties. The Troy location is the network’s first in Miami County. KETTERINGHEALTH.ORG
“The Troy Senior Citizens Center is a United Way partner agency and we provide services for people age 55 and older. We have activities and programs to help people stretch both their minds and bodies, giving them the tools and resources they need to live in their homes longer. UPPER VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER: CARE CLOSE TO HOME

Valley Medical Center
(UVMC) is a major provider of leading-edge health care in the Troy area. A full-service, acute care hospital that serves Miami County and surrounding areas, UVMC is part of Premier Health, the largest health system in southwest Ohio offering services across seven counties. It offers a wide range of care choices including virtual care, e-visits, telehealth options, a large primary and specialty care network, and home health services.
UVMC continues to expand treatment options in the Troy area so residents can receive even more care close to home. The hospital recently expanded its cardiac catheterization lab capabilities and availability of additional experienced cardiologists for those in need of heart care services. UVMC is also using technological innovations to strengthen services. New enhanced robotic surgery capabilities are just one example. The system assists physicians during surgery with a minimally invasive robotic option, typically resulting in shorter hospital stays and quicker recovery for the patient. It is used for procedures such as gallbladder removal, gynecologic surgery, hernia repair and small and large bowel surgery.
