We’ve identified a lack of ‘call to arms’ for want of a better expression. So these will be added on revision. NEW DEVELOPMENTS 1. TOP TIPS In the interests of ensuring users of the HUB take advantage of its advanced functionality, we’re going to be adding YouTube videos explaining the various processes. 2. REMOTE HUB AFFILIATE PUBLISHERS As you’re probably aware, much of the event information entered into the HUB is electronically extracted into our magazine titles to produce our events listings. We’re currently in the process of a month-long development change to enable remote publishers to access this data, the upshot being event greater free promotion for you. 3. INCREASED PROMOTION OF SINGLE EVENTS We wanted to enable organisations hosting particularly important events to add branding, links to videos and to appear at the top of the current week’s events. This will be a paid option, but will be very affordable. We’d like to stress by the way, that adding events onto the HUB will always be free, it’s the model that works and allows total participation. Currently there are well over 4,000 registered organisations! 4. BANNER ADVERTISING There’s a lack of credible, niche based, really useful, local website platforms where local businesses can gain awareness for their brand and services. Banner advertising is now enabled across the HUB websites, providing highly targeted exposure, which by default is to the local area, depending on the HUB chosen. It’s also an alternative to the big G for local regionally target promotion online.
