What Advertisers and Stockists have to say about COAST & COUNTRY magazine... South Devon - now 10 months old!

We had a trustees’ meeting last week there was a favourable response to the advertising you have done for us. Alexandra Jacobs (South West Academy of Art)

Polly and I love the publication and know how competitive your prices are. He just wants to know where we stand so I’ve given him all the figures, which show that advertising with Coast & Country has been more successful than any other magazine we’ve worked with this year! Lucinda Cusdin (Gloss Gallery, Exeter)

Today your magazine arrived at our salon of which we ‘LOVE’ the magazine and it is great to have in our salon.

“A couple from Torquay came shopping to Teignmouth after seeing Shopping Feature in the magazine. They had lunch at Fresh Ground coffee shop and then visited Brodequin and ordered a pair of hand-made shoes. Proprietors, Gill and Laura were delighted. Gill (Brodequin Bespoke Shoes)

Rob James (Nicholas Hair & Beauty)

Hello, I was reading this afternoon at my hairdressers salon, but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed reading it and how informative I thought it was. Being a Totnesian, I particularly enjoyed the article about Totnes. Is this a new publication and are there to be further publications? I do hope so! If you have the time I would welcome a reply and also could you please let me know where I can obtain copies. Thankyou very much. Annette Osborne (reader)

Firstly please can I say how much I enjoyed the February/ March 13 edition of the South Devon Coast & Country magazine - my wife and I had a lovely meal in Kingskerswell’s Hare & Hounds pub a couple of weeks ago and we picked up a copy whilst there. Dan Bolt (reader)

I picked up your magazine thinking it would be something to quickly flick through. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down due to such interesting content. My customers all thought the same and I’d really like to be an outlet please. Mark Teall (The Swan Inn)

One of those nights having gone to bed early I am now in need of a nice cup of tea & a read of your amazing magazine which I picked up in Herbs & Honey Health Shop Torquay yesterday and was too busy to look at the time. What a joy your production is not just to read but the size, presentation, and content are fabulous.

I’m impressed with your magazine picked up in the Dean Prior farmer’s market yesterday.

Maggie Duffy (Tiaras and Feathers)

“Dear Nigel, I picked up your magazine yesterday at Waitrose and love every bit of it, congratulations.” Flo Bonneau (reader)

What Advertisers and Stockists have to say about COAST & COUNTRY magazine... East Devon - in it’s 5th year! “Advertising in the East Devon Coast & Country has provided good regular sales of high value artwork.” Mike (Marine House at Beer) whole page advert all year now in third continuous year in magazine

“I am really happy with the advertising I do with Coast & Country Magazine. I advertised in it all last year and definitely benefited as a result. People were coming into the shop who had read the advertisement and until then had not visited us before. We also always keep a copy of the magazine in the shop for people to enjoy. I’ve spent a lot of money with Devon Life, Exeter Living and other glossies in the past, without getting any noticeable response, but since going into the East Devon Coast & Country magazine, I’ve been getting regular feedback from new customers throughout the year, who’ve seen my advert.” Yvonne (Chapter, Sidmouth)

“I can definitely say we sold a couple of properties as a result of the advert we had in the last magazine” Paul (Seddons, Honiton)

“Dear Sir. Many thanks for you reply about posting your Magazine to me I will willingly Pay £12 for posting it to me, because I really do like reading them, it brightens up these wet and wintry days and makes me look for things to do next summer.” Brian Spicer (reader)

Actually it was the East Devon and the first time I have seen it!!! That’s dreadful...I suppose writing articles for Devonlife it has just passed me by but I will look out or it from now on! Judi Spiers (reader)

half page advert booked for year - now booked in for 4th consecutive year

“Nigel. I’ve done a lot of advertising in various glossies over the years, but the ‘Coast & Country’ is the only magazine I’ve ever had regular feedback from.”

“I don’t normally pay much attention to the glossy regional promotional magazines; what little historical coverage they have is prone to recycling local factoids. I notice, however, that this magazine carries historical articles worth reading.” RG (Branscombe Historical Society) comment posted on Devon History Society website.

Suzi (ISCA Gallery)

“We have been delighted with the response, it has certainly proved to be a worthwhile investment.”

“Had them – and they all went within about an hour! (30 copies) You’re getting TOO popular!! Congratulations.” Bee

(Archway Bookshop Axminster)

J. Pike (Waitrose Sidmouth) whole page advert for year) closely monitored by external marketing agency

“Did a couple of thousand pounds worth of business as a direct result of advertising in the last issue.”

“I always pick up East Devon Coast & Country because for me it is Devon Life for real people. The articles are always interesting and the photography is really special. It’s a good quality magazine, with a high editorial content. Well done.”

Many thanks, Mark (Turners of Topsham)

Regards Kerry (Kerry Hornett ACT)

“Thanks for the news. I have to tell you that I took your magazine to the Axe Vale Festival where it flew off the table - Very popular and very positive comments! Thought you may appreciate the feedback ..... and I hope we can be regular distributers?”

Loved the aerial shot of Topsham on Pages 62/3, is it possible to buy a copy ? Just like to say I like the magazine, particularly the story of the Exeter mail coach plus tide times etc. Many thanks Keith Lewin (reader)

Sarah (Axminster TIC)

“I’ve just seen a copy of the magazine, very nice, beautiful actually!”

Dear Editor I picked up your Dec/Jan 12 issue at Popplefords and I must say, it is first class! Lovely pictures, interesting snippets, plenty of information, spaced out so you can read and look and not be bombarded with blocks of adverts.

Paul (Webbers Interiors)

Julie Ann Thompson (reader)

“Nigel, in terms of the riding school, the advertising in East Devon Coast and Country has been quite successful. Since 1st January (to mid March 2010) the website has had approximately 250 unique visitors, with the majority of people staying on the site for up to ten minutes. There have been more than 1600 pageviews. I’ve had people trying to book lessons for 8 weeks now, which I have been unable to do as we are not open until next month!!”

I discovered a copy of Coast and Country recently, and thoroughly enjoyed it - a wide mix of articles for all tastes, plus eye-catching design!

Natalie (Jorrocks)

May we take this opportunity of saying how much we enjoy the magazine.

eighth page display containing only website address - this was the only advert Jorrocks had run for the riding school facility anywhere
