Dear Seniors, It has been a tremendous honor to serve as your principal during your final year of high school. I remember walking in the first day of school through a tunnel of Seniors to an office full of balloons and thinking to myself, this class is always going to be very special to me. As most educators do, I will always refer to you as “my kids” but also as “my first graduating class” at AHS. I honestly can’t think of a better group of students to start my time at Andover High School. You have set the bar high for future Seniors. Graduation is an exciting time. You are just beginning a new chapter of your life. Whether you are heading to college, joining the Army, starting a career or just taking your time to decide, remember that YOU are the only person that is responsible for your happiness. You are embarking on a new adventure in life, and my greatest wish for you, no matter what you choose to do after high school, is that you are happy. You will fail and struggle at times, but keep going, knowing that your hard work and perseverance will pay off in the end, just like it is now as you graduate. You have all worked hard, and deserve to take some time to celebrate your accomplishments before you move on to bigger and better things in your lives. I hope you will reflect on your time at Andover High School fondly and focus on the bright future you all have ahead of you.
