Staff completing their CDA is a great benefit to Tri-Valley Head Start as it assists in staffing classrooms with qualified teachers. Staff who earn their Infant/Toddler CDA are qualified as a Teacher I in and Infant or Toddler classroom. Staff who earn their Preschool CDA are qualified as an Assistant Teacher in a Preschool classroom.

Veronica Diaz (pictured above) is one of the six staff who have received their Infant/Toddler CDA this year. Veronica has worked as a Classroom Advocate at the Monticello Migrant and Seasonal Head Start center for 3 years and earned her CDA certificate this fall. Within one week of finishing her CDA certificate, Veronica applied and was accepted into Anoka-Ramsey Technical College’s Sociology program where she is working towards her AAS in Sociology with an emphasis in Education!
