Also, a new and more unpredictable climate poses, unique challenges to all life. N ow , with concentrations of greenhouse gases rising, Earth’s remaining ice sheets such as Greenland and Antarctica are starting to mefi too. T h e extra water could potentially raise sea levels significantly. In addition to sea levels rising, weather can becom e more extreme. T h is m eans more intense major storms, m ore rain followed by longer and drier droughts, changes in the ranges in which plants and animate can live, and loss of w ater supplies that have historically come from glaciers. If w e do not act to curb global warming, we will suffer.a lot of health risks. A s temperatures rise, disease-carrying mosquitoes and rodents spread fever, malaria, and other diseases. Moreover, w hen sea levels rise, Vietnam is one of the countries suffering the most serious consequences. Let’s protect our environment together.
