Set yourself up for success, and don’t make a resolution. Make a commitment to be healthier and happier …For Your Life™. If you believe a New Year or that you can make healthy changes to your lifestyle, then keep reading. Each of the 6 general principles below has tons of details beyond these bullet points. This brief is to help you re-focus and draw balance into your life at work and at home. With better balance comes better health, happiness, and effectiveness. So, what’s the secret recipe?

1. Set Realistic Goals- People often set large unrealistic goals. Make goals smaller, realistic, measurable, attainable, and time oriented. If you reach your goal, nobody will stop you from setting the next one. Go for it... Reach that goal. You can set another goal later. 2. Find Time Each Day- People often try to schedule health related practices into their day and then get frustrated when something comes up to take them away from it. Be flexible and have options built into everyday to help reach your goal. Use stairs, park far from your building, go for a walk at lunch with co-workers, find a fitness space near a place you frequent.
