he Trinity Junior Library is a fantastic place where you can go and relax in the peace and calm that naturally hangs over it. It is run by the lovely and caring Mrs Janine Wyatt. Our library is home to thousands of books that cover anything a boy could dream of. We have fiction books on fantasy, action, everyday life, horror and much more. The non-fiction area has books on animals, science, cars, sports, myths and legends and lots of other subjects of interest. Whoever gets to sit and read in Mrs Wyatt’s comfortable reading chair is the envy of everyone else. Our pin-up boards have pictures and information on different topics such as Animals, Soccer World Cup, Water, Land and many more. During the Soccer World Cup we had a poetry competition and many boys produced wonderful poems on the soccer theme. Mrs Wyatt always has time for a kind smile with her magical voice that takes us into the land of our imagination – we look forward to her reading sessions before each library class. The Chess sets provide much enjoyment for the boys before school, at lunchtime and in the afternoons while they wait for their parents to pick them up. We entered four teams into the Interschool Chess Competition this year. All teams did well and our A Team made the final but were beaten by Midland Christian School. Our big Term Four Chess Knockout produced some lively games as all the boys were very keen to win the coveted trophies.

enjoyed listening to him speak humorously about his books and his family and answer the many questions members of the audience asked him. One of our boys won a free book for asking the best question. I think that our library is a great place for any boy to go and have a very enjoyable experience. Samuel Cox 7 Green

In Terms Two and Three many of us participated in the Ian Thorpe “Fountain of Youth” Readers’ Challenge and read ten books by a specified date. We raised over $700 to be used to buy books for children in remote Aboriginal communities. A very worthy project! Book Week this year had the theme “Book Now”. We had a Quiz that required many of us to read a great range of books to provide the answers. Our four major winners went with Mrs Wyatt to the bookshop to choose a book and “do lunch” in Queens Gardens. A group of about thirty boys also went to see the very popular English author, Anthony Horowitz. We all
