We guarantee that our workwear is being produced under fair conditions. That employees get fair opportunities, receive fair wages and experience good working conditions. We try continuously to achieve improvements and this can only be done by working together. By understanding that change doesn’t happen from day to day, but that it does take time to transform an entire industry. When our suppliers operate in a fair, safe and environmentally friendly manner it will contribute positively to our common goal. Without our suppliers we just can’t do what we do..

12. RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION

Our workwear is made from the highest quality fabrics, because workwear should not only look good but also last a long time. Sustainability of our clothing is therefore extremely important. However, producing workwear also generates a lot of CO2 emissions and water consumption. So when we produce our workwear, we can better handle our raw materials very carefully. Taking care of our raw materials is essential, because Tricorp still wants to keep producing workwear in the future. We are therefore working hard on using raw materials being produced in an environmentally friendly manner, so that we can use them in a safe way in our nal product.

13. CLIMATE ACTION

We are developing more and more workwear in which recycled and more environmentally friendly raw materials are processed. This is important because in this way, every more sustainable garment contributes to the reduction of environmental impact such as CO2 emissions.

14. LIFE IN THE WATER

A lot of water is used in the development of workwear, for example in the dyeing process or when using certain chemicals that contains it in order to give the product its protective function. That is why it is of great importance that our suppliers handle the water they use carefully and discharge in a careful matter. There must be properly functioning water puri cation installations so that no polluted water can end up in open water.

Tricorp is ambitious. We don’t want to shout from the sidelines and wait until something happens. Tricorp is going to make it happen. However we can not do it alone. Where countries work together, Tricorp must too. That is why we work togehter with parties that help us achieve our goals.

INSIGHTS INTO THE CHAIN

Tricorp strives for a complete understanding of the conditions under which the workwear is manufactured in the various production countries. In order to gain a reliable insight into the situation at the production locations, Tricorp uses external audits, which are carried out by the Fair Wear Foundation, by BSCI or by SEDEX. Based on the content of these reports, Tricorp discusses with the relevant supplier the improvements that can be made at the location. The basic principle is that the supplier does not have to do this alone, but receives support from Tricorp if necessary..

RESPONSIBLE PURCHASING

Intensive and long-term cooperation between Tricorp and its suppliers ensures stable and high-quality products. Tricorp therefore always selects suppliers for the long term, with an important number of criteria: quality of the products and delivery time, good communication, respect for employee rights, the availability of OEKO-TEX and REACH certificates, results of previous audits and a healthy financial position..

FAIR WEAR FOUNDATION

Tricorp has been a member of the Fair Wear Foundation since 2007, making it one of its oldest members. The FWF is of great importance to Tricorp in fulfilling its CSR obligations. Tricorp makes useful use of the country information provided by FWF, the manuals with regard to the calculation of the living wage in the producing countries and with regard to the impact of issues such as the corona pandemic on employees. Tricorp is assessed annually by FWF.

BSCI

Tricorp is a member of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI). This is an Amfori initiative and focuses on improving labor rights and conditions, as well as the environment in production chains. On the basis of the external audit reports of BSCI, Tricorp can assess the state of affairs at the various production locations and work together with the suppliers for improvements.

SAFETY FIRST

Tricorp believes it is important that workwear is safe and comfortable. Safety already starts during the production of the clothing. Tricorp ensures that no harmful chemicals are used in the garments. European legislation also sets requirements for the chemicals that may be used through REACH. REACH stands for: Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Chemical Restriction. In order to comply with this regulation, Tricorp checks the MRSL and RSL list with its suppliers. These lists are drawn up by the textile trade association Modint.

In addition, Tricorp checks whether all materials have an Ökotex 100 certificate. This label confirms that the materials have been tested for harmful chemicals and substances that are not skin-friendly. With the Ökotex 100 certificate, the product also meets the requirements of the European REACH regulation.

DUTCH TEXTILE AGREEMENT

Developments in the field of circular textiles are moving very fast. In order to speak the same language with regard to the input for circular textiles, the NEN Working Group on Circular Textiles is working on the Dutch Textile Agreement (NTA) 8195. Tricorp is an active participant in this NEN working group. Tricorp consults with other Dutch textile producers and experts in this regard.

EXTENDED PRODUCER RESPONSIBILITY

According to the Dutch Circular Textile Policy Programme, the Dutch economy must be 100% circular by 2050. The government is therefore introducing legislation to improve the climate.

RETURN LOGISTICS

In order to prepare the worn Tricorp workwear for reuse or recycling, Tricorp works together with partners who collect, sort and clean clothing from customers. GAIA Circular is Tricorp’s partner in this. Dealers and end users can approach GAIA to collect the worn workwear.

ORGANIC COTTON

Combed cotton is a strong and smooth yarn due to the long fiber and the special spinning process. For new developments, Tricorp chooses organic cotton! This type of cotton is a sustainable alternative to regular cotton. Compared to regular cotton, when growing organic cotton, rainwater is often used, more efficient irrigation methods are used and no pesticides are used..

Top materials In Tricorp clothing

RECYCLED POLYAMIDE & CORDURA®

Polyamide, also called nylon, is a strong synthetic fiber. Where the garment piece has to endure a lot, for example the knees of trousers, Tricorp opts for the strongest polyamide type: Cordura®. Cordura® is particularly durable. Garments with Cordura® have a longer lifespan and in that sense are also sustainable.

ELASTANE & MECHANICAL STRETCH

Elastane yarn stretches well under low tension and returns to its original length. A few % (Lycra®-) elastane in the fabric ensures a permanent, good wearing comfort. A cloth can also be made more elastic by a special weave construction: mechanical stretch. Tricorp often uses mechanical stretch as a solution in work trousers.

RECYCLED POLYESTER & COOLDRY®

Polyester is a smart synthetic raw material. For new designs of fabric with polyester, Tricorp opts for recycled polyester. This type of polyester is often made from used plastic (PET) bottles. Tricorp obtains the raw material from another chain to reuse in the textile chain. An open loop solution. Part of the polyester used in Tricorp clothing comes from cut waste in the clothing production and from worn clothing.

CoolDry® polyester is a yarn with a special yarn cross-section in the shape of a cloverleaf. This creates channels, which has the advantage that body moisture is transported to the outside of the garment, so that the body remains dry and does not cool down.

POLYGIENE® TECHNOLOGY - RELIABLY FRESH

Polygiene StayFresh™ is a 24/7 active, invisible odour control technology based on silver chloride, which inhibits the growth of odour-causing bacteria in textiles. As a result, workwear stays fresh for longer and needs to be washed less often. Less washing saves water, energy, detergent and time - and the product itself also lasts longer.

PRIMALOFT® INSULATION

Primaloft® insulation keeps your body warm. In addition, it is soft and supple. The Primaloft® used in the RE2050 collection consists of 80% recycled material combined with advanced fiber technology for a high quality eco-friendly insulation that provides instant warmth without the bulk. The liner is extremely light and fits perfectly in our Rewear and RE2050 winter jackets.

In 2021, we were approached by MoneyGram Haas F1 Team with a request to provide clothing for the team and merchandise. As a company, we were immensely proud of the inquiry from the American F1 racing team and eagerly seized the opportunity. We were challenged to develop a custom-made team kit and establish a merchandise environment, including a B2C webshop, warehousing, and fulfilment, within a short period. We swiftly devised a multi-year plan to progressively enhance the sustainability of the team kit each year. Additionally, we showcased flexibility and resilience by promptly outfitting the entire team with a new team kit within two weeks after the departure of the previous main sponsor at the start of the 2022 season.

We are thoroughly enjoying the journey we are currently undertaking with MoneyGram Haas F1 Team. Our logo can be found on the halo, the side of the race car, and the sleeves of the drivers and team members. In 2023, our logo was prominently featured in the Netflix series ‘Drive to Survive’.

THE MOST DURABLE TEAM KIT FOR MONEYGRAM HAAS F1 TEAM

In 2023, we developed the most sustainable team kit for the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team out of all Formula 1 teams. With this, we are assisting Haas F1 in achieving its sustainability objectives and contributing to the overarching sustainability goals of the FIA, the organization that owns Formula 1. Thanks to the sustainable team kit, Haas F1 was awarded the FIA 3-Star Environmental Accreditation this year. This accreditation is the highest sustainability recognition from the FIA.

PROTECTION AGAINST THERMAL DANGERS OF AN ELECTRIC FLAME ARC

This type of protective clothing offers protection against the thermal effects of contact with an electric flame arc. Think of momentary heat, burning particles and a flame jet. An electric flame arc is always caused by a short circuit in an electric installation.

Workwear that meets this standard protects the wearer against small splashes of molten metal, brief contact with flames and radiation heat of a flame arc.

PROTECTION AGAINST LIQUID CHEMICALS

This standard is about protection against liquid chemicals, splashes of liquid metal to be exact. Within the EN 13034 standard the fabric of the clothes is mandatorily tested on protection against splashes of four liquid chemicals:

PROTECTION AGAINST RAIN AND BAD WEATHER

The standard specifies requirements and testing methods applicable to materials and seams of protective clothes, intended for protection against the influence of precipitation. The X value indicates the water tightness class and the Y value indicates water vapour resistance. In both cases 4 is the highest achievable class.

PROTECTION AGAINST HEAT AND FLAMES

Workwear that meets this standard protects employees (with the exception of welders and firemen) who are exposed to heat, flames and molten metals. The wearer is protected against brief contacts with a flame as well as (to a certain extent) convective and radiation heat.

PROTECTION THROUGH HIGH VISIBILITY DURING THE DAY, TWILIGHT AND NIGHT

This standard determines requirements for clothes that are intended to emphasise the user’s presence visually, to make him stand out more in dangerous situations. Both during the day and the night (lighting by headlights of vehicles). The X value indicates in what class the product belongs on the basis of the total surface of the fluorescent and reflecting material. The class can be 1, 2 or 3, with 3 being the highest.

RULES REGARDING THE APPLICATION OF PRINTS OR EMBROIDERY ON MULTI-STANDARD WORKWEAR:

. Only flame retardant transfer logos and embroidery are permitted.

. You as the client are responsible yourself for any loss of flame-retardant properties as a consequence of this addition to the clothes!

. The retro reflecting band must not be printed or embroidered.

. The dimensions are limited to a maximum in the context of the EN 20471 class.

. It is not permitted to embroider the parka and softshell.

This standard specifies the requirements of electrically conductive clothes. These clothes are part of a total earthed system. The clothes prevent the occurrence of sparks that may cause explosions. The safety clothes with this standard are only accepted if combined with the standard (EN 531 or EN ISO 11612) for flameretardant clothes. These safety clothes are worn in explosion-risk spaces. When there is a risk of explosion, there is also a risk of fire.

The CoolDry fiber is a polyester fiber with a special fiber cross section, which allows moisture to be from the body to the outside more quickly. This makes the wearer feel comfortable and fresh. For how many wearers would you like to request a Special?

For Specials we work with a minimum order quantity. This amount depends on a number of factors, such as the country of production and the total size of the order. For more information about the minimum order quantity, please contact your contact person at Tricorp.

Can Tricorp use a standard fabric from Tricorp or does Tricorp need to source another fabric?

For Specials we can use a standard Tricorp fabric. Should a different fabric be required, then this will have to be sourced and a longer delivery time has to be taken into account.

Which item of Tricorp is the basis of the Special?

This is up to the client to decide. Standard articles can be further found on in the section ‘Article’.

Can I use Tricorp’s standard colours or should I use the client’s colours according to their PMS number?

You can have a Special made from standard Tricorp colours. There is also a possibility to use the colours from your own corporate identity.

Should the garment be labelled with Tricorp Specials labelling or with private labelling of the customer?

This is up to the customer to decide.

Does the garment have to be branded with logos? If so, what type of logo (printed/embroidery)?

If you would like to work with a logo, it is good to indicate which type we can offer. You can choose to print or embroider the logo yourself. If you brand workwear with a logo, the workwear is under certain conditions tax deductible. You can choose to print or embroider the logo yourself. With workwear that has to be waterproof, it is not possible to embroider.

Should specific washing instructions be taken into account?

This depends on what kind of work will be carried out by the wearers of the workwear. Tricorp has a wide choice of articles that can be washed at 60º C and we also offer a number of articles that can be washed industrially. Please provide on the washing instructions to the Specials team in time, so that they can look for the right raw materials.

Does the garment have to be certified according to certain standards, if so which ones?

This also depends on what kind of work will be carried out by the wearers. Tricorp offers standardized high-visibility workwear and multi-standard workwear. Please indicate with your Special request, which standards the articles must comply with (e.g. a highvisibility standard).

Does the customer want a regular or a fitted item?

Most Tricorp articles are offered in a regular and slim fit. The choice of fit also depends on the work and preferences of the wearers.

Our in-house design specialists will help you create a workwear collection, which meets the requirements and wishes of the customer.

We believe that workwear should be comfortable for everyone, so we offer the choice between a regular and a fitted version.

STAP 2 // QUALITY

The second step in developing a Special is choosing the right quality. You can opt for a standard quality from Tricorp, but we can certainly look for a different quality if desired. Which method of knitting does the customer choose?

Single jersey, piqué, american fleece. There are also various options for woven fabrics when it comes to workwear. Think for example of Twill, flat binding, canvas binding, etc.

Professionals have high demands for their workwear. That is why we place high demands on our materials. After all, the material is the basis for sustainable and comfortable workwear.

An increasing part of our stock collections is also produced with raw materials that are certified according to the OEKO-TEX Standard 100. This standard is aimed at limiting the use of harmful substances in relation to the health of end users as far as possible. Moreover, both our clothing and our accessories are produced without harmful dyes in accordance with the Commodities Act Decree Azo-dyes.

Polyester is an all-rounder among synthetic fibers. It is ultra strong, light absorbent, crease-free and color and shape-retaining. Polyester is often used used for the manufacture of various substances. The sturdy and uncomplicated, synthetic fiber is very versatile and can be combined with other fibers. Moreover, polyester is extremely suitable as a raw material for circular products.

POLYESTER CORDURA

This material, which is spun from 100% nylon, is resistant to heavy loads, durable, and friction resistant.

COMBED COTTON

There are various types of cotton, but only the best is good enough for our workwear. Combed cotton is better quality, since combing removes the shortest and most vulnerable yarns. Combing cotton yarns also removes any unevenness in the yarns, resulting in durable cotton of the best quality. This is the solid basis of our workwear.

To conserve raw materials, We work with used clothes and PET bottles. The used clothes are fiberized and mixed with new materials. This makes it a new strong fiber where a new yarn is being spun out of it. Also PET bottles are extremely suitable for processing into a new one strong polyester fiber. The quality of the yarn is important for a longer life span. After all, a longer lifespan is also sustainable.

We call an item circular if it is a textile product that contains raw materials that have been recycled (reused). For example, a Tricorp T-shirt with organic cotton and recycled polyester. This prevents us from using new polyester, which saves water and CO2 emissions.

We make a distinction between different types of recycled raw materials and the way in which they are processed circularly. The difference between types of recycled raw material is made with letters:

A : used textile products, which we also call post-consumer material;

B : not used textile products, post-production, such as old stock without commercial use;

C : not used textile products, post-production, such as cloth cutting waste what we also call pre-consumer material;

D : open-loop materials, such as collected recycled PET bottles from which we make a beautiful fleece jacket.

FOLLOW THE WASHING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!

All our workwear have been thoroughly tested and provided with a washing instruction label. If the instructions on the label ar e followed, the clothes will look like new for a longer period of time. Always sort the laundry on temperature and colour. If there is an indication that clothes must be washed separately, this is because a specific dye is dominant in the clothing. Pre-washing is usually no longer required with modern detergents. To remove persistent stains, you can use a stain remover prior to washing.

DETERGENT

Use the right detergent for your clothes and follow the dosage instructions on the packaging. Do not use detergents with bleach (such as perborates, percarbonate or sodium hypochlorite). Use the right detergent at the temperature as indicated in the washi ng instructions on the clothes.

DRYING

Do not dry the clothes in a dryer. Shake the clothes, pull the seams straight and hang the clothes to dry. If you want to dry the clothes in a dryer anyway, dry them at a low temperature and with a short cycle in the dryer, as your clothes shrink and wear the most during the last phase of the drying cycle.
