the studio I am Tricia Moskal, a natural and studio light photographer based in Leduc, Alberta. My style is relaxed and laid back. I love clean simple photos. This usually means a solid coloured background, with minimal props. It is about you, your child or the baby bump. I don’t mind climbing a tree or laying in the dirt to get the perfect shot. I want your session to be fun, enjoyable, and want your kids to leave sad that the play time is over. At the end of the session I want you to feel like you’ve met a new friend. I will be taking limited clients to ensure that I can offer a personal, high quality, exceptional experience to each and every client that comes to meet me. I am a photographer, mom, wife, sister and friend. These things keep me pretty busy. Limiting the amount of sessions I offer allows me time to be better at each one of those jobs. So come by, I’ll be sure to make you a cup of coffee and you can see if I am the right photographer for you and your family.

the process
The style Clean. Classic. Simple. We will discuss what you have in mind for your session. It may be an empty dirt road, lush park, beach, back alley, your home or my studio. You will recieve photos that are about you, and your family. I do add a few props here and there but mostly I want to see beautiful eyes and genuine expressions. We will spend about an hour (2-3 for newborns) together. After you will recieve 25-30 handpicked processed images in a gallery for our viewing session about 14 days after your session.

POST PRODUCTION Each photo in your gallery will be processed in Lightroom or Photoshop. A typical edit will include color enhancements and light skin retouching. Retouching to reduce wrinkles, acne, scarring or moles is available on request.

VIEWING APPOINTMENT During our viewing appointment we will go through your images and discuss the products available. I have several samples of the canvas, float wraps, stand out mounts, and album options. Your portraits are an investment and I want to be confident with the product you select to showcase your family. The best way to do that is to hold that item and see the quailty for yourself.

what to wear
NEWBORNS & BABIES There is nothing cuter that a naked baby! Newborn sessions are best at 5-12 days. This age range is best for the sleepy curled up poses. Napped babies with a full belly will help ensure a smooth session. Older babies are perfect in a colored cloth diaper. A cute onsie will show off chubby little legs and cute little toes. Keep in mind drinks and foods that may stain clothing and faces prior to a session. Items such as sweet potatoes, raspberries, kool-aid may possibly stain lips/ cheeks and can be difficult to remove in post processing.

siblings & families
Avoid logos and really busy patterns. They distract from the cute faces. Logos tend to date a photo really quickly. Bring along a change of clothes if you would like to change up the look or in case of accidents during our session time.
What do we wear? Such a common question for family photos. You do not need and I encourage you NOT to matchy-match. Wearing completmenting colors and varying tones looks styled but not too matchy. Brown/ Orange, Pink/Grey, Blue/Grey etc. I will be publishing a syle guide on the blog every month or so with ideas for the season.

Session Information
CLEAN & SIMPLE PRICING Collections include: Photographing, Editing photos and ordering Prints. Each Collection offers digital images for printing up to size 11×14. These are for your personal use. Your disc will include two folders, Low-res & High Resolution. Low-resolution may be used for facebook, email, and personal blogging. High Resolution images may be used for personal use such as scrapbooking, prints, and cards. 25-30 of the best photos from your session will be fully edited and presented to you within 2 weeks of your session during an in-person viewing session. Prices are based on 5 people. Each addional person is $25.00 Want to view images first before buying the largest collection?
