SWIM: The 1.2-mile swim takes place in the beautiful Hastings River, which feeds a network of canals and waterways around Port Macquarie. Spectators line the banks of the river near Westport Park to view the start of the two-loop swim course. Water temperature is between 66 and 72 F (19 and 22 C).
