Preface Hello, all readers! This is the first anthology of World Gogyoshi Society. What is World Gogyoshi Society? I founded it in facebook with about 150 poets all over the world on July 1,2018. Then I made five rules of World Gogyoshi Society. But we changed it a little like this. 1.We call our group “ WorldGogyoshi Society” 2.We agree with five rules of World Gogyoshi. 3.We write minimum 1 Gogyoshi every week. 4.We belong to one of World Gogyoshi Asia,Africa, America, Europe, Oceania. 5.Founder of World Gogyoshi Society is Taro Aizu. (December 2,2018) What is “five rules of World Gogyoshi”? I made it with some admins of Gogyoshi siteslike this on July 1, 2018. But we changed it into five rules so that many poets can understand Gogyoshi and write it more easily. Five rules of World Gogyoshi 1. World Gogyoshi is based on penta stich. 2. World Gogyoshi has a title. 3. World Gogyoshi is written in only five lines. 4. Line breaks of World Gogyoshi is free. 5. The theme of Gogyoshi is World Peace.(December 2,2018) What is “pentastich”? It’s a sequence of five lines poems in ancient Greece. We should respect it as the motherof Gogyoshi. Gogyoshi is different from Japanese five lines poems such as Tanka or Gogyohka because they have no title. Gogyoshi is different from western five lines poems such as Cinquain, Limerich, Quintet and so on because they have restraints of syllables, rhymes
and so on. There are many kinds of five lines poems all over the world. But there are small differences among them. Let’s enjoy writing Gogyoshi all over the world from now on. I know Dear Taro Aizu San from the beginning of this year, as I came to know about Gogyoshi poetry form. After initial some days, I get very much fascinated by this poetry form. It's so simple, but can confer deepest meanings and sublimity when written truly. Yes, Taro San is very kind, warm and humble that he give me the responsibility to edit the first anthology of world Gogyoshi. It's a wonderful experience and learning to know all of you amazing people from all over the world, and your Gogyoshi poems. I think you will be pleased to have this anthology, and see all of you united in a book as you all truly are, in this worldwide movement. Keep writing Gogyoshi.

BIOGRAPHY OF EDITORS
Taro Aizu Taro Aizu was born in the Aizu region of Fukushima prefecture, Japan. He lives in Kanagawa near Tokyo now. He has been writing haiku for 20 years in Japanese, gogyoshi for 12 years in Japanese, and both for5 years in English and French. He published a poetry book, ”My Fukushima” in three languages in 2014. A Fukushima nuclear plant caused a hydrogen explosion on March 12, 2011 after a huge earthquake and the large tsunami on March 11. That summer he went to his hometown, Fukushima, for the first time since the disaster. There he happened to see his nephews hanging dosimeters around their necks. The scene gave him a great shock and that experience inspired him to write “My hometown, Fukushima”. He wrote “My hometown, Fukushima” in English in January and in French in March and then in Japanese in April, 2012. “My hometown, Fukushima” was translated into 20 languages by his Facebook friends all over the world. The gogyoshi of Takizakura was translated into 35 languages in 2013 and he published, “私の福島” in Japanese, “My Fukushima” in English and “Mon Fukushima” in French with German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese translations by Amazon Kindle. At last, in 2014, he published a poetry book, “わが Fukushima, My Fukushima, Mon Fukushima”, written in three languages, Japanese, English and French. European and Brazilian artists held exhibitions inspired by his poems in the Netherlands, Brazil, Germany, Portugal, Spain, France, and South Korea between 2012 and 2015. In October, 2015, he was invited to Macedonia for an international poetry festival called “DITET E NAIMIT” and won a Literary Career Award. In July,2016, he published haiku collection titled, ”Our Lovely Earth” with Dr.Sigma, an Indian poet in India.
