"The cultural equivalent of cliff jumping" — FASHION MAGAZINE

FESTIVAL | The PuSh Festival is a Vancouver signature

event, featuring genre-bending and groundbreaking work in live performing arts from acclaimed local, national and international artists. Over the course of 3 weeks, the 2014 festival united 24,000+ audience members with 280 performers at 150+ events and performances, across 15 venues. Its unique alchemy incubates original work, expands horizons, and forges incredible bonds among attendees and industry professionals. Artists and audiences alike come to rejeuvenate and find inspiration at the cutting edge.

AUDIENCE | Although the PuSh Festival attracts a

diverse audience ranging in age from 26–60, the majority is affluent and highly educated. Almost 30% of audience members have an annual income between $70,000 and $120,000, and 80% are university educated (over 40% hold a graduate degree). They are decidedly patrons of the arts: 67% regularly attend live performances including theater, contemporary dance, music, film and visual art. With a penchant for interdisciplinary work, they come to PuSh to be astonished and see something unlike anything they’ve seen before.

DISTRIBUTION | The PuSh festival will distribue

20,000 copies of the program guide starting 10 weeks before the festival to all JJ Bean locations, Choices Market, libraries, and select locations in Kitsilano, Cambie Village, Main Street, the West End, Yaletown, Gastown and Commercial Drive. Plus, the guide will be distributed to all 15 festival venues: Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre, SFU Woodward's (Goldcorp Centre for the Arts), Russian Hall, York Theatre, The Cultch, The Dance Centre, Waterfront Theatre, Arts Club Theatre Company, Vancouver Playhouse, Vancouver Public Library, Vancouver Art Gallery, Performance Works Heritage Hall, and The Vogue Theatre.
