DID YOU KNOW? Gepetto, Pinocchio's creator, was born in Florence. Actually, it wasn’t the carpenter himself, but Carlo Collodi, author who brought this character to life, which some time later would be one of the greatest classic characters of children's literature.

A travel destination that inspires so much love. Love for arts, history, time, green meadows, gastronomy, wine, beauty, life or just love for love. People who have been to the very Italian Tuscany know that the region is in love and lovable, at the same time. Located in the heart of this beautiful European country, the charming Tuscany is divided into ten provinces, each one of them presenting countless rustic landscapes and multisensorial experiences. By the way, here are two infallible tips for those who would like to get to know them very well: the first one is to take at least a week to explore its main cities; the second one is to do this by car, since many of its attractions are spread along beautiful bucolic roads, which represent a tourist attraction by its own, by the way. TAKING IT EASY You may be used to that busy routine of the big metropolises, for sure. Right, but it doesn’t exist in Tuscany. With a classic and countryside touch, in the hometown of Dante Alighieri, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Niccolò Machiavelli time goes by slowly, which is great inspiration to take it easy and enjoy every moment in the best “slow travel” style, in other words, enjoy the trip – and all its surprises – without haste. Expert, therefore, at providing exciting and lasting experiences, it’s natural that this region, which is the lovebirds' favorite one, is so much sought for weddings, since there are so many reasons to love it. To prove this, join us to Florence, Cortona, Siena, San Gimignano and San Miniato, five fascinating Tuscan treasures. Are you ready? Poi, andiamo! FLORENCE: THE WORLD CAPITAL OF ARTS As well as Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, it's also with attentive look and a smile on the face that many travelers can be described while visiting the capital of Tuscany. And it’s no wonder: how, after all, to resist Florence? Located in the homonym province and considered one of the cradles of Renaissance, one of the most important Italian artistic expressions, Firenze, as it's called by its inhabitants, still today keeps this flame that turned it into one of the icons of this cultural, political and economic movement alive and shook the history of mankind more than 500 years ago. VALUABLE HERITAGE Constituted by priceless heritage, Florence is practically an open-air museum, and part of its collection can be found in the city’s historic center, declared a World Heritage by Unesco, in 1982. The first suggested stop is at the great Duomo di Firenze, or Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower, which started to be built in late 13th century and, currently, is amongst the five largest cathedrals in Europe. After taking beautiful photos of the facade and its interior, the suggestion is to go to the dome and get fascinated with the view of the city. Besides the cathedral, the Battistero di San Giovanni (Baptistery of Saint John) – built to pay homage to the patron saint of the city in 1059 and one of the visitors’ favorite place because of the "Gates of Paradise", one of the Florentine Renaissance icons – the Campanile di Giotto (Giotto’s Campanile) and the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo (Museum of the Works of the Cathedral) also make part of the Duomo complex. Walking through the alleys that surround the cathedral, in addition to bars, restaurants, ice cream shops and stores there's an extensive collection of monuments spread all over the way. Among them, it should be highlighted the Piazza della Signoria, a cultural space which includes: the historical Palazzo Vecchio (Old Palace), city hall and museum; Gallerie degli Uffizi, where masterpieces of geniuses such as Raffaello Sanzio, Sandro Botticelli and Leonardo Da Vinci are gathered; and a festival of classic sculptures, like a replica of Michelangelo’s David, whose original version is a few steps away from there, at the Galleria dell'Accademia (Gallery of the Academy of Florence). MORE TREASURES Do you still have some energy? Great, because Florence has a lot more to offer! Before continuing, however, it’s worthwhile to touch the bronze boar at the Fontana del Porcellino (Wild Boar Fountain), near the Piazza della Repubblica. It sounds weird, doesn’t it? Just relax, we explain why: they say that this ritual brings luck for those who touch it. Now that your success is guaranteed, time to go to the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge), one of the oldest and most admired icons of the capital. Built in the 14th century, it
