For more than 60 years, our association has brought this definitive home construction showcase to the New Orleans-metro community. With more than 25 remarkable homes, spanning multiple parishes, this year’s Parade promises something for every home consumer. As you tour each home, our builders, materials suppliers, and trade contractors will be excited to share information on innovative design techniques, new interior and exterior building products, and a multitude of creative styles – all geared towards maximizing home comfort and efficiency. The pages that follow show a picture or rendering and a list of features unique to each of the homes. Please use the Parade of Homes Map on Pages 30 & 31 to plan your tour. The Parks of Plaquemines, Belle Chasse A CAREFULLY PLANNED COMMUNITY IN A GREAT LOCATION Plaquemines Parish is a great place to call home. Though master-planned communities are rare in that parish, The Parks of Plaquemines, is as stellar an example of combining architectural excellence with well-engineered amenities as you’ll find anywhere in the metro area. The community located just across the Plaquemines line on Woodland Highway in Belle Chasse. It’s a true Westbank gem. The Parks mirrors its surrounding native natural habitat with rustic amenities and plentiful green spaces. NOEL is a non-profit that, with the support of the
HBAGNO and funding from the Jefferson Parish Department of Community Development (JPDCD), runs programs like Jefferson Joining Forces and the Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Program that help elderly and low income homeowners remedy blight in and around their homes. An unintended consequence of Jefferson Parish’s beautification mission is that elderly, disabled and/or low-income residents are cited for code violations which they don’t have the means to fix. Those people are precisely the ones that NOEL’s programs aim to help. NOEL and JPDCD have made it their mission to help bring homes up to code for those who are unable to do it themselves. NOEL’s Jefferson Joining Forces and Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Programs have combined to help over 50 low income home owners rehabilitate their residences. All repairs are completed at no cost to the home owner, while being bid out to local, licensed contractors. NOEL also works closely with local parish criminal courts to administer a Re-Entry Jobs Program. The main focus of this program is to act as a liaison between participants recently released from prison, and the services needed to help them succeed in their new life. These services include things like jobs, transportation, legal assistance, housing, and more. If you would like to learn more about how you can support NOEL programming, please contact:

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN / CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM The Delgado Community College Architectural / Design Construction Technology Program engages students with the design and construction of homes, schools, commercial, industrial, and public buildings and community projects. It is also concerned with the upkeep, repair, modification, renovation, restoration and modernization of existing buildings. Graduates work as technical management personnel for architects, engineers, design-builders, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, fabricators, technical construction material sales companies, or the government. Graduates will have the knowledge to produce drawings required to build a structure, to supervise and inspect the actual construction of residential and commercial buildings.
