The Vienna Tourist Board has signed a new preferred partnership with The 1000 as part of its efforts to expand its presence in the leisure product market.
Since launching in fall 2021, The 1000 – an exclusive club of wholly-verified, top-producing travel advisors from around the world – has continued to grow exponentially, including in Canada.
Said Elke Bachner, B2B Relations for the Vienna Tourist Board: “Our partnership enhances the Vienna Tourist Board’s reach of qualified ‘The 1000’ advisors, which we feel complements the calibre of product and services Vienna has to offer.

Bachner also noted that the partnership will help increase membership of the Tourist Board’s learning platform, Vienna Experts Club International (VECI), which provides a comprehensive insider’s look into the destination and offers reduced or free entrance to Viennese museums, concerts, restaurants and sightseeing excursions.

This year, Vienna will be celebrating a milestone anniversary: the 300th anniversary of the Belvedere Palace, which was originally built in 1723 as a summer residence for the famous military commander Prince Eugene of Savoy. Now a museum, the palace will commemorate the milestone with a major exhibition featuring an art collection that spans 800 years, from the Middle Ages to present day.
This year also marks the 150th anniversary of Vienna’s World Fair, credited for catapulting the city to the forefront of the world stage, as well as the 125th anniversary of the iconic Imperial Hotel, which has hosted such famous guests as Queen Elizabeth II and Charlie Chaplin.
