GROWN IN MONTANA

A REAL SLICE OF MONTANA Montana produces world-famous beef and grains, but the list doesn’t end there! The geographically diverse and rich agricultural land is worked by skilled producers who deliver diverse offerings, such as honey, hemp, cherries, potatoes, lamb, and sugar beets. Raw materials are often combined into value-added consumer goods distributed to establishments across Montana and beyond. Grown in Montana logos identify products grown, raised, harvested, and processed in Montana. Agritourism is an emerging product, combining agriculture and tourism. It looks different depending on the on-farm activity, whether visiting a horse ranch in Circle, alpacas in Dillon, a lavender farm in Lakeside, or a weekly farmer’s market.

Success Stories

Montana RancHERS Beef Co. | Lewistown Montana RanchHERS Beef Co. is a women-owned, direct-market beef shares business. Montana RanchHERS believe in raising a sustainable product with transparency and trust. “It was important to us to get our Grown in Montana designation and logo as soon as possible after starting our local grass-fed beef business. The status that this green (and blue and red) logo carries allows us to tell our story of commitment to quality in one simple eye-catching graphic. To us, Grown in Montana also means pride in Montana, a commitment to raising a highquality product, and devotion to reinvestment in our local, rural communities. The superior client support and additional marketing and promotion by the Made in Montana team is icing on the cake. “ -Abby Majerus , Co-Owner

The Hopper Kitchen and Market | Helena The Hopper Kitchen and Market offers quality fast-casual fare to a stretch of Helena’s historic walking mall known for its tasteful offerings and lively atmosphere. “As a sixth-generation Montana family-owned business, it is incredibly valuable to be able to share the bounty of our state with our neighbors. We try to provide the freshest possible fare to the Helena area, so that starts with acquiring seasonal local ingredients, often harvested within driving distance of our front door. Additionally, it is imperative we support our neighbor family farms and ranches, keep the money in the pockets of small producers, and do our part to close the loop on local food systems. Programs like Made in Montana and Taste our place enable businesses to connect to local producers and showcase the bounty of our State directly to the community.” - Dan Bay, Owner

Rimrock Flower Farm | Roundup Rimrock Flower Farm grows speciality cut flowers and foliage for weddings, retail shops, to send to a recipient, and wholesale to flowershops and florists. “As a flower producer, we advocate for the use of locally-sourced products. We are very proud to be included in the family of amazing Montana producers and creators that make up Made in Montana and Grown in Montana. Both programs celebrate hard-working and talented Montanas; we rely on them to help us market our locally grown flowers.” -Andi Thatcher, Owner

Delpine Farms | Martinsdale Delpine Farms is a family-run, mixed vegetable market garden providing Martinsdale and surrounding communities with local vegetables, fresh eggs, and other Montana products. “Our farm is the only fresh food producer that also exclusively sells our food locally. Having the Grown in Montana label on our products in the grocery store is incredibly valuable to our business. Many of our farmers market customers know to look for our farm’s packaged greens on the shelf; as more people learn about the value of fresh quality produce, this one label says it all. The Grown in Montana sign the grocery stores added to our shelf has had a huge impact on our product sales, with new customers asking for more.” -Shauna Eagleton, Owner
