Moana Komodo Cruise 6 day / 5 night cruise Moana is a classic 30m Phinisi Schooner, able to take up to 10 passengers. She is perfectly equipped for cruising, diving and snorkelling around Komodo. Join as an individual traveller, a couple or family/small group to see the best of the Komodo National Park from above and below the water level. All cabins are en-suite and feature air-conditioning. Moana is entirely made from teak and ironwood, lending a warm and comfortable accent to the boat. On the spacious upper deck, there is an air-conditioned indoor salon and a relaxing deck area, where you will find the dining area. Lovers of the great outdoors can also be offered blankets to sleep outside under a canopy of stars.
Sample Itinerary Day 1 Fly from Bali or Lombok to Labuan Bajo, enjoy a welcome refreshment and ship orientation. Then relax and enjoy the view as you weigh anchor toward the beautiful island of Sebayur. Day 2 Devote the day to snorkelling in the bay of Gililawa Laut, or explore the nearby reefs on sea kayaks. Day 3 Enjoy swimming, relaxing, kayaking and snorkelling. Highlights include spotting schools of colourful fish at Siaba Kecil, or observing Manta rays at the aptly named Manta Point. Overnight in the beautiful lagoon of Siaba Besar. Day 4 Snorkel the pelagic rocks of Batu Bolong, offering sightings of very active marine life. Relax onboard during the cruise to Rinca island, with another snorkel opportunity available at Pulau Tenga. Day 5 Take an hour long ‘Dragon Walk’ to sight the Komodo Dragon, the world’s largest lizard in its natural habitat. They only live on Komodo, Rinca and their small surrounding islands. There are also opportunities for viewing other wildlife, including deer monkeys and colourful bird life. Day 6 On arrival back in Labuan Bajo, there is the possibility of taking an early morning tour through the old town. Disembark after lunch for a transfer to the airport and return flight to Bali or Lombok.
