Hub Already Making A Difference In Hull
Last week the Safer Hull Paragon hub opened to the public, offering a safe space for those in need and hosting a variety of charities that offer support to the local community.
In its first few days the hub has hosted so many great charities including Vulnerable Exploited Missing Trafficked (VEMT) and the Railway Children. Representatives from BTP have also been manning the hub, including our own Steve O’Callaghan, BTP Liaison Officer.
The space has already been helping to keep the community safe, with members of the public leading officers to a vulnerable woman who was then signposted to an agency that could help her, and the space also being used by BTP to take a witness statement.

We will also soon be seeing the Warren Project in the hub, a youth intervention charity offering free support, guidance and counselling to those aged between 14-25 in the Hull area.
Taking On The Great North Run
Simon Rashleigh, Airport Conductor, will be taking on the incredible challenge of running the Great North Run for the fourth time in September.

Simon will be running the 21km for the Christie trust, after he was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2019. The Christie offers world-class cancer care and treatment and is one of the most advanced cancer centres in the world, treating over 60,000 people a year.
