With D.A.M. ahead of the crisis As already announced in the last catalogue, we have moved the company to the new location in Georgensgmuend in March 2009 and thereby kept our promise to stay in the original region of the New Frankonian Lakes. At the new location we have now almost doubled our warehouse capacity, but also the showroom and the repair department are now in a separate part of the building with accordingly more available space. All in all we are thereby clearly acting against the trend in the actual economical crisis, but in our opinion this is "just" a logical consequence of a long term, serious, innovative and ahead looking brand, business and financial strategy which is now clearly paying off and strengthening our position. Of course also our customers, no matter if retailers or consumers, will profit from this fact as you can rely on the New D.A.M. in all respects – as a company as well as a brand and of course through high quality products! Regarding new products the seasonal year 2009/2010 has to offer many highlights, this time especially in the rods and reels range. As the first time in the D.A.M. history we present the new Quick® M series as 100% pure Magnesium reels. The new Quick® A-Head series are convincing with a totally new reel concept. The Quick® Master series Quick® A-Head is setting new standards in the segment of true hard core reels. Finally the already well known Quick® Calyber series will be completed by a free spool version, the Quick® MAD FSX is targeting the carp freaks and the trout anglers will enjoy the Quick® PTS series will enjoy the trout anglers. Also at the rods some brand new series are introduced. Thereby the New Dimension rods will become the top series. It is followed by two special saltwater rod series, the CrossPower Sea and the SteelPower® Red. In the spinning segment the Nanoflex series will be the entry into the nano rod technology, but also our new Power Trout System rods as well as the Devil Stick and Python series will provide fresh ideas in the allround carbon rod range. Moreover there are several news in the accessory range like our Pike & Sea Shot Systems, that allow to transfer the already successfully existing Drop Shot fishing to pike and sea fishing. Thereby we are well prepared for the season 2009/2010 in order to still be "one fish ahead" of the competition, no matter if fishing or business wise and you are a part of it. Certain to be recognized by older anglers amongst us: The first appearance of what was to become D.A.M.
The oldest German fixed reel, QUICK速 STANDARD. Even then it was available either with or without meter counter. The DAMYL速 family around 1900.
The origins of our tradition Suppliers of quality in every area of angling, D.A.M was also one of the pioneers of fly-fishing. Every flyfisher with a feel for tradition will recognize this reel.
These reels are made of solid brass and are much sought amongst antiques collectors!

tradition and up-to-date appearance
AIRWAY – the name for telescopic rods (a D.A.M. speciality). Together with QUICK reels these rods are what gave “fishing tackle made in Germany” its reputation.
Since generations we have inspired many competitors and "copy makers"! And why not? Anyhow, for a successful original there can´t be a higher evaluation than being copied by less creative people, because nobody would ever try to copy a less successful product. So, being measured at the number of copies we already could regard ourselves easily as "market leader” again. Due to this reason we have decided to name some of our key products "Das Original" (= The Original) in the future. Moreover we will of course keep holding on to our slogan "innovation instead of imitation" and will so continue to set standards in the future. Also regarding the features of several products we will keep holding on to the truth instead of following the general trend of exaggeration and we are pretty sure that this strategy will pay off sooner or later due to the old wisdom "honesty will last longest". So all in all we are quite well equipped to meet the combination of tradition and up-to-date appearance!
