SOPHIE GRIOTTO With a bold approach to color, pattern, and movement, along with an old school appreciation for glamour, Sophie Griotto is a much sought-after artist on the international illustration scene. After getting her start storyboarding in the world of Paris haute couture in the nineties, drawing for Dior and Gaultier, Sophie established herself as a fashion and lifestyle illustrator in 2003. Distinguished by her sophisticated, fluid style— she cites Japanese ink wash painting and African dance as inspirations—she quickly rose to the top of her field, creating breezy watercolors and digital work for some of the most elite names in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. Sophie’s work has gained recognition not just commercially but critically, too. She has been featured in anthologies of the world’s most important current illustrators such as Taschen: 100 Illustrators and Illustration Now! Fashion. She exhibits her personal artwork in galleries, as well.
