We would like to invite you all back out to the ranch here at Mount Vernon, for our Fall Annual Production Sale. After a dry hot summer with up and down cattle prices we are looking forward to a cool down and optimistic for some hot cattle prices! We are proud to present to you what I consider to be the deepest set of bulls we have ever offered, paired with a very elite set of bred heifers from our ranch and close friend and partners at the Spinks Ranch.

The SimAngus™ and Simmental bulls will be the reoccurring theme here at Moriondo Farms and MM Cattle Company. We believe in the power, performance, and real world value these SimAngus™ cattle have. They can change a cow herd in a single generation. The SimAngus™ bulls come loaded for bear, coming in with some stout sons of TJ Frosty 318E and TJ Teardrop 783F that will make some highly sought-after baldy calves with some real power and functionality. There is a really deep set of bulls out of the bull we call “Vaquero” our selection out of previous Cow Camp Ranch sale, these boys are uniform, you can pick them out anywhere. They have extra length, good dimension, power, and tremendous feet, all in an extremely slick haired package that will serve us well in southwest Missouri and 100 degree summers. There are highlights all through the SimAngus™ bulls, from breed leading sires like these I have mentioned along many others such as Southern Fortune Teller, CCR Cowboy Cut 5048Z, LBRS Genesis G69, TJ Gold 274G, Koch Big Timber, MR SR Highlife G1609, and several others. Take a good hard look at these bulls!

The Angus division is smaller but is packed with power! Starting off with a standout son of Basin Rainmaker 4404 out of the Pleasant Pill cow backed by Schiefelbein Effective 61. Calving ease angus with all the style, dimension, and power you could ask for. He is a “keep every daughter” type of bull and just wait until you see the udders on those girls! They are picture perfect. 4404 sons, along with Diablo Deluxe 1104, Musgrave 316 Stunner, Deer Valley Growth Fund and many more will set the tone for Angus power. Our angus will have power, foot integrity, and real world efficiency!

We will be offering an elite set of commercial bred females bred to calve this spring. They will be from the heart of our cowherd and the heart of the Spinks Ranch herd north of us at Jericho Springs, Missouri. These heifers will have been AI bred to Wildcat, or TJ Nebraska, and cleaned up or covered by sleep all night breed leading Moriondo heifer bulls. Come check these girls out in person and put yourself in the driver’s seat to make a set of outstanding calves. The work is done…Take them home for a quick return on investment.

It is our pleasure to welcome all cattle enthusiasts to the Fall 2022 Edition of the Moriondo Farms & MM Cattle Company Annual Production Sale. Rest assured that your interest will lead to doing business with a family that represents full circle production agriculture. Cattle, row crops, and turf are the entities that make the world go round at Moriondo Farms. Larry, Rita, and those before them laid the foundation for the next generation and as Mark and Miranda become more involved in the day to day, we guarantee you that this outfit will be around for at least another full generation and possibly beyond. In short, they aren’t going anywhere else soon as they are deeply rooted in Southwest Missouri, and they are very proud of where they are in the world.

Mark takes great pride in what he does on a day-to-day basis with the cattle operation. He is always searching for the next bull that can impact their own program to make a larger impact on the program that you operate with intense genetic selection. The criteria is not only based on true weight and performance measurements, but the end product is in mind as well. The data recorded in this book should be noticed with the thought process that relative to age these cattle are very similar and competitive amongst their respective contemporaries from a weaning and yearling perspective. The Moriondo team believes that cost cutting at every corner without sacrificing performance is an absolute must in today’s ag economy, so with that they have invested in grow safe data to record feed conversion and efficiency. We have made preparations to bid and buy livestock through Superior Productions’“Call or ClickTo-Bid” service for those unable to attend in person on sale day. Please note that all of the lots in the sale will also be available for viewing online prior to sale day at www.superiorlivestock. com.

Turn in Bids Over the Phone. This is our traditional method of buying livestock and is the suggested process for anyone who does not have excellent, high-speed internet.
