The Hometown Heroes banners are 2' x 4', made of heavy vinyl and printed the same on both sides. The banner displays the service person's photograph, full name, branch of the military and the era of service (WWI, WWII, Vietnam, etc.) To qualify for a banner, a service member or veteran, living or deceased, must have had a connection to Lower Providence Township (relative, friends, attended local schools, etc.) at some point in his or her life. He or she could also have been honored on Lower Providence war memorials or be a veteran recommended by local VFW and American Legion Posts.
