RACE ROUTE - The Montgomery County Hero Fund 5K run and walk benefit will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022 starting at 10:30 a.m. Residential traffic will be monitored during the race but road closures and travel delays should be expected. The race will begin at the Lower Providence Fire Department. Participants will start on East Mount Kirk Ave., travel towards Elizabeth Dr., up Sky Dr. to Church Rd., through Eskie Park and onto Soni Dr., down Deerfield Dr. to Martha Ln., Long Meadow Rd. and onto Killington Court towards the cul-de-sac, then onto Walker Ln., back onto Church Rd. to Providence Rd. and return on East Mount Kirk Ave. to finish at LPFD. Your ability to get out of a home during a fire depends on early warning from smoke alarms and advance planning. Join us on Friday Oct. 14th for our annual Open House, to learn more about the volunteers and equipment that protect the township. Learn how to protect your home from fire.
