MARCH 13 Both the Lake Villa and the McHenry St Patrick’s Day Parades have been cancelled. March 13 Join the Gurnee American Legion 771 for a traditional St. Patrick's Day dinner of corned beef and cabbage and kick off the celebration right! Dine in and carryout options are available. Reservations are suggested.
MARCH 13 & 14 As long as Covid-19 protocols and mitigation remains at an acceptable level this event will take place in a modified format. Social distancing and wearing of masks should be in place at all times. Open containers will be allowed in downtown McHenry from 11am-6pm to allow for attendees to support and visit local businesses in the area. A partial list of events are; MARCH 13 - Shamrock Shuffle (7am-9am) Socially distanced - Dyeing of the River (10am) - Live Music and Beer Tent at Miller Park (11am-6pm) MARCH 14 - Live Music and Beer Tent at Miller Park (11am-6pm) Unfortunately some events needed to be eliminated such as Face Painting and Bounce Houses due to the inability to ensure proper safety protocols. However, it will be a fun day for all if all are masked and following the other Covid-19 protocols. MARCH 13 The McHenry American Legion Post on Riverside Drive is having a St Patrick's Day party.
