We offer a variety of advertising, event sponsorship, and vending opportunities to meet your needs and budget. Commitments range from having a banner in our gym or out at the ballpark, sponsoring a fun family event like Rad Rover, having a food truck at a weekend tournament, our coveted Community

Special Spring Events

Someone Special Dance: Medieval Magic Knight

Ages 2+ | Enjoy a night in the castle at this year’s Someone Special Dance. This year’s theme, Medieval Magic Knight, is going to be an honorable evening. Participants will enjoy dancing, arts and crafts, light refreshments, and a photo booth. Be sure to dress up for this fun-filled event. Any combination of family is welcome (i.e. mother & child, father & child, grandparent & grandchild, etc.)

Strider Bike Derby

Ages 2-5 | And they’re off, in the Strider Bike Derby! Kids will love racing down the back stretch and coming to the finish line in this fun race designed to build confidence and bike skills. Participants may take as many turns as they can handle, and all will receive a swag bag. In true Kentucky Derby fashion, formal attire and derby hats encouraged.

Ages 3-11 | The Easter bunny is missing hundreds of eggs and they have been found floating in the Erie Community Center pool! Come splash, swim and hunt with us to have a chance to get the winning golden egg. Egg hunts will be broken into age groups. Day: Saturday Date: April 8

Aquatics

Private/Semi-Private Swim Lessons

Private lessons can be booked online at Amilia.com/ErieRec with your personal account or in person at the Erie Community Center. Days and times are based on instructor availability. Private lessons can be booked monthly with registration opening one week prior to the start of each month. All lessons must be booked 48 hours in advance.

Know Before You Go

SWIM TEST RULE

All guests, 16 years or younger, who want to use the river, slide, deep end and/or rope swing must be swim tested. The test consists of a 15-meter swim, with face in the water and no stopping. Swim tests can be requested at the lifeguard office.

SAFETY CHECK BREAKS

We will clear the pool for a 10-minute safety check at the following times:

Saturday at 2:50 p.m. Sunday at 12:50 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Guests, 15 and older, will be allowed to swim in the pool and hot tub during this time, as well as any swimming lessons. All others will need to exit the pool. During the safety check, it is important for children to check in with groups or family members, hydrate, go to the bathroom, and rest. Staff will perform safety checks on the pool and equipment.

Please check with the Aquatic Management Team for the schedule for safety checks on holidays and no- school days.

Training & Classes

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training – Blended Learning

Ages 15+ | This course certifies you to be an American Red Cross Lifeguard. It is a blended learning course with some instruction done online. CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer included. Registration ends one week prior to start of online portion of class. Students will need to pass both online and in class portions.

River HiiT

This six-week class will focus on building muscle, increasing endurance, improving balance and burning fat. You’ll used specialized aquatic equipment in short bursts of intense effort followed by moderate to low active recovery. Mix up your routine by cross training in the water and experiencing total body results. To track your results or add a buy one, get one InBody 570 body composition scan and see your gains!

H2O Aerobics

Join us for a total body workout that will physically challenge you! You will get the same fitness benefits as land aerobics, including excellent cardiovascular conditioning, muscle toning, flexibility and fat burning. The water provides great resistance and a low-impact workout. This class is for everyone! Join us for a change of pace, for cross-training, or for general fitness.

Boy Scout/Girl Scout Merit Badge Testing

Hydro Pump

This is our highest intensity class! Gain strength and endurance like you would on land, but have the extra resistance from working against the river current.

Aqua Movement

Enjoy a fun, relaxing, low impact workout in the water! This class includes cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, strengthening, and spine stabilization. Exercises designed for participants with arthritis are also included. In addition to the above, you will work on range of motion to assist in reducing joint pain. A doctor’s release is recommended for Pre/Post-natal participants prior to participating in this class.

Ages 15+ | Learn how to use the cardio and Life Fitness™ circuit machines with a free, 30-minute orientation. Orientation includes information on how to set up the machine to your body, proper form, and general usage. Email fitness@erieco.gov to get scheduled for an orientation.
