EAST OF EDMONTON

A modern hall holds many of the community’s social functions. It also has six power and water RV sites, dumping station and a ball diamond. The arena is used year round for outdoor education, 4-H activities, skating, and more.

Marwayne Marwayne, located 10 minutes north of the Yellowhead Highway, at the intersection of Highways 45 and 897 is a community of just over 600 friendly people that are proud of its small-town atmosphere. Situated in a picturesque location, Marwayne provides a familyoriented, welcoming lifestyle with city amenities nearby. The area is a leader in agri-business and the oil and gas industry.

ATTRACTIONS & EVENTS Marwayne is honoured to have two businesses that have been granted Municipal Historic Distinction. One being The Historic Marwayne Hotel built in 1926 (which we have been told by some may be haunted) and the second one is No Need to Nock, a café, gift and clothing store which is located in the historic stone building on Railway Avenue. Marwayne is proud of its volunteers and strong community-minded citizens, and aims to provide quality services to both residents and visitors alike. Enjoy the many sporting events, dances and activities that take place at the hall, arena, curling rink and in the downtown core.

Dewberry The spirit of country comes alive in the Village of Dewberry, located at the junction of Highway 45 & Secondary Highway 893.

ATTRACTIONS & EVENTS Be sure to have your photo taken with the World’s Largest Chuckwagon located at the entrance to Dewberry. Calling all cowboys - for heart pounding action, attend the CPCA Chuckwagon Races on June 15-17, 2018! Step back in time with a visit to the Dewberry Valley Museum, established in 1974 by area residents. It houses artifacts, machinery and vehicles, as well as a fully functional Catholic Church.

OUTDOORS Get active by playing baseball at the Dewberry Sportsgrounds or by skating or watching hockey at the Dewberry Arena. Stay for awhile at one of the beautifully treed sites at Dewberry Campground located on the west end of the Village. More info: Village Office 780-847-3053 www.villageofdewberry.ca See ad page 95.
