Stars & Stones
Wrap yourself in the stars.
Boasting the darkest sky in the heart of ancient Ulster, spend the evening and night at the foothills of the Sperrin Mountains by the edge of Davagh Forest and the Beaghmore Stone Circles. A local story-teller will tell you about the stones and how they were first discovered, then make your way towards the OM Observatory for an even closer look at the breath-taking wonders above. The observatory’s astronomers will guide you through an interactive Solar Walk to the site’s hi-tech telescope, before a spectacular film experience on the outside of the building itself. But your stargazing doesn’t have to end- the nearby Sperrin Glamping Village lets you sleep under the stars too. Lay down in comfort and watch the night sky through the glass roof overhead.
