At the age of 13, she performed as a soloist with the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra. Years later, as part of Harper Grey’s 100th Anniversary celebrations in 2007, Roselle performed as a soloist with the West Coast Symphony (playing Beethoven’s Emperor Piano Concerto). Patrick is a member of Battle of the Bar Bands veterans Mr. Fancy Education (four out of five members of which are in band for this production of Mamma Mia). This is Patrick’s first Lawyer Show, and while it has been some time since Patrick played for a musical theatre production, his wife is quite possibly the world’s biggest ABBA fan. So, he is very familiar with these songs. He dedicates his performances to his wife Janele (the other member of Mr. Fancy Education).
D. Michael Bain, K.C BASS GUITAR

Inspired, in part, by ABBA bassist Rutger Gunnarsson, Michael started playing bass guitar in 1979. After a hugely successful run as a failed professional bass player, he became a lawyer in the late 1900s and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2020. His Majesty King Charles III currently recognizes Michael as both King’s Counsel and King’s Bassist. This is Michael’s fourth in-person lawyer show and he has previously appeared in Spamalot!, Grease and Hairspray. When not practising bass (which is quite often) he is practising employment law at HHBG Lawyers in Vancouver. He is the editor of The Advocate, a magazine circulated to all lawyers in British Columbia (whether they want it or not). Michael spends much of Mamma Mia! playing with his G-string. Here we go again!

Cappone holds degrees in music (composition and theory) and law from the University of Victoria, has studied and worked as an audio engineer at the Banff Centre for the Arts, and designs and builds guitar effects and amplifiers.
Mark Slay PERCUSSION

Mark is glad to be back doing percussion in The Lawyer Show. For Urinetown he wishes he had an extra set of hands, but he is up to the challenge of playing such instruments as the triangle, woodblock, cowbell and mark tree! He can still be found drumming and singing in classic rock lawyer bands at various Battle of the Bar Bands shows. In his spare time he is a partner at North Shore Law practicing family and estate litigation and is still the only lawyer to quote Bruce Springsteen in the Court of Appeal.
