Eligibility for a Lung Transplant
After you have completed all of your evaluation tests and consults, your case will be presented to the Lung Transplant Selection Committee for review. This committee meets once a week. All members of the lung transplant team are present. They will discuss your case carefully to determine if lung transplantation is appropriate for you. After the Selection Committee meets, you will receive a letter letting you know their decision. The decision will fall into one of three categories: 1. Accepted for Listing 2. Deferred 3.
