STEPHANIE M. LEISURE
from OHIO 6-12-23
Going the extra mile is a phrase that aptly describes Stephanie Leisure’s approach to real estate. Not only does she often travel hours for listings and sales in rural Ohio, but she does not shrink from picking up a hammer and nails or some paint to help spruce up a house before listing it. “I go above and beyond for my clients,” says Stephanie. “There have been plenty of times when my husband and I will do some repairs to a house for a client. I do more than the average agent.”
Stephanie entered real estate in 2019 and is now with Key Realty. Since then, she has cultivated a specialty in farm homes and properties with large acreage, a territory with about a 90-mile radius. Her expertise lies in catering to the unique needs of rural property buyers and sellers. She especially enjoys working with firsttime home buyers. “I’m an empathetic person,” she says. “I’m able to put myself in somebody else’s situation. I’m also patient, and that really helps a lot” with new buyers just entering the market. On the flip side, having grown up with her grandparents, she also loves connecting with some of the older folks who live in her rural territory. “I click well with them,” she adds. “I guess I’m an old soul.”

Staying connected with past clients is of utmost importance to Stephanie. She prefers a personal approach and values the significance of snail mail, striving to establish lasting relationships with her clients. Her consistent performance and dedication to her work have resulted in a commendable sales volume year after year. She averages between $1.5 to $2 million in sales per year, with remarkable achievements early on in her career. In her second year, she surpassed her goal of 12 transactions and closed 36 deals. Stephanie remains motivated to surpass her previous accomplishments.
What Stephanie cherishes most about her career are the freedom and flexibility it offers. She appreciates the ability to structure her schedule around her family while also accommodating her clients’ needs. “I love having the freedom to come and go according to my schedule, and work around my family,” she relates. “And I love helping people. I love that I’m not there to sell somebody something. I’m there to advise and help guide them in the right direction for what could very well be one of the biggest purchases or sales of their lifetime. It’s nice to know that they trust me and that I’m able to help get them to the finish line.” Beyond her real estate endeavors, Stephanie remains actively involved in her community. She and her husband sponsor a ball team each year. Additionally, she actively participates in her church, organizing events such as a large Easter egg hunt and a community pool party. Stephanie’s commitment to her community reflects her dedication to fostering relationships and making a positive impact.
Looking ahead, Stephanie has ambitious goals for her future in real estate. Although she doesn’t foresee immediate plans to open her own brokerage, Stephanie envisions pursuing her broker’s license and possibly obtaining a business degree within the next five to 10 years. Her primary focus is on continual growth and surpassing her achievements year after year.
