SHOBA JAGERNAUTH
Top Agent Shoba Jagernauth has enjoyed five consecutive years of growth working as a solo agent for Keller Williams serving Bradenton, Sarasota, and all of Pinellas county.
Shoba Jagernauth of St. Petersburg, Florida, has built a successful real estate business on a foundation of client satisfaction, community participation, and an unwavering belief in the dream of homeownership for all. “When you work through a challenging experience with a client, and they turn to you at the end of the road and say, ‘I can’t believe you made it happen. We finally get to move on to the next phase in our life, and it’s all because of you.’
Seeing people with that level of gratitude for my service – it’s an incredibly demanding job, but that makes it all worth it.’”
Originally, Shoba enjoyed a fifteen year career working at a bank, and she had long been curious about the real estate industry. She was formally introduced to the profession in 2016 when, after raising her two children, she was preparing to sell her own home. “We were ready to downsize, and I had always been curious about real estate,” she recalls, “so I started taking evening courses in person, and realized how involved the whole process was. I’ll never forget the challenge and stress of the process – it’s one of the reasons why I continue to work as a seller and a buyer in real estate. By the time I was fully licensed, I had invested enough time and money that I felt like I should put it to good use and prepare myself to make it smooth for others – otherwise ‘no deal!’” After briefly working as an agent part time, Shoba saw the endless opportunities to serve others and formally resigned from her position at the bank in 2017.
Since then, Shoba has enjoyed five consecutive years of growth working as a solo agent for Keller Williams serving Bradenton,
Sarasota, and all of Pinellas county. In 2021, she was the fifth leading agent in her office (clearing $8.5 million in collective volume), and her steady trajectory now requires the aid of a full time assistant: her daughter! “I am so proud of her, and grateful for the opportunities that this job has given both of us.
When she came home from FSU, she said she wanted to rent her own place, and I said, ‘No no no – let’s look at townhouses.’ She’s been working with me for three years, and she was able to sell that first townhouse last year and make a decent profit.”
In addition to guiding her daughter, Shoba is proud to mentor upcoming agents at Keller Williams, and she is looking forward to expanding her influence by continuing to guide those who are interested in the profession. “This has given me an opportunity to be an entrepreneur and to give back to people around me. I want to share my experiences with as many people as possible. This year
I’m hoping to build a team of my own, potentially alongside some of the agents I currently mentor!” Her dedication to agent education fuels her participation in the 72Sold program, and she regularly leads seminars to invite and educate colleagues and clients alike, including the REALTOR® training course “Ignite.”
With her business poised to continue its upward trajectory, Shoba is excited to extend her roots deeper into the surrounding community. “My daughter and I have been visiting the Salvation Army home since she was five – so twenty years now. It’s a temporary home for children between twelve months and eighteen years, and we go a few times a year to bring them dinner, supplies, and sit down with them for a while. We just like to help and give back, both in our careers and in our free time.” The duo also supports Shriner’s Children Hospital on a monthly basis, and Shoba’s gratitude for her family encourages her to chase her loftiest ambitions – she aspires to one day expand her business internationally, and travels every chance she gets so that she can explore those possibilities!
“None of this would be possible without my husband of thirty-three years of marriage: my best friend, who paid all my bills for me to devote time to learn and invest in myself and my clients. As I continue to build a business worth having, a legacy worth living and leaving, I am so blessed and grateful. I have so many people to serve and I look forward to it so much and to keep serving the Lord by changing lives one home at a time.”
