The staff of Lake Meadows Assisted Living community, 11570 E. 126th St., Fishers, is already taking calls from numerous people interested in their upcoming community. ‘
“Having lived in Fishers for the last 20+ years, I saw the need for a senior living community option regardless of a family’s financial situation”, says Dan Hubbard of C&H Capital, a local real estate development firm. “Most of us living in Fishers, have moved here for the tremendous quality of life. We come from all over and for many of us, we either are the parents, or have parents who moved near us to remain close to the family.”
Hubbard goes on to explain “Many in this generation of seniors are financially savy and have been able to protect the nest egg they have created over years of hard work. In too many other cases, our parents have already hit that bump in the road. For them, the medical bills and caring for a loved family member have already mentally and financially taken their toll, leaving their loved ones looking out over an uncertain future. In both cases, with the right plan in place, Lake Meadows Assisted Living can offer a luxury living experience with the right personal care staffed by the professionals of Priority Life Care.
“Lake Meadows is currently under construction, and we are planning to be open around the end of the year,” says Hubbard. “It will be the first affordable senior assisted living community in Fishers. Lake Meadows will have both studio and one-bedroom apartments.” “The apartments and community will be elegant in design and extremely comfortable for residents. The community will have great lake views and a walking path surrounding the lake,” Hubbard says. “In addition to assisted living, we will also have a memory care neighborhood for those with memory impairments like dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.”
Hubbard says the focus at the community is on Lake Meadows’ residents and making sure they are putting their physical and mental well-being first. Lake Meadows will have nursing staff on-site to assist all residents with any health care needs. Lake Meadows will offer on-site therapy, and residents will have access to an exercise room. On-site physician services will be available, and there will be emergency pull-cords in every apartment.
“Transportation for residents will be provided with our community van,” Hubbard adds. “Through daily activities, including life enrichment programming, residents may pursue a healthy and happy lifestyle.
Outings will be important for our residents to remain a part of Fishers’ local community. As you can imagine, fishing will be one option, which is expected to be a popular activity, but we will also venture out into the local Fishers’ community and Indianapolis for visits to museums, restaurants, local parks, and sporting events.”
Other amenities at Lake Meadows will include weekly housekeeping and on-site salon services. Each apartment comes with a kitchenette and microwave.
Hubbard says residents will be able to enjoy cable television and complimentary Wi-Fi as well. A movie room at the community will also be available for residents to enjoy.
The staff at Lake Meadows Assisted Living Facility has already been receiving a steady flow of calls from interested future residents.
“We have been getting calls daily, and we have started our waitlist for residents to move-in,” Hubbard says. “We will have 123 apartments total. I would recommend starting the process early, find a reputable elder care attorney and get in touch with the staff at Lake Meadows to walk with you through the process of protecting your family and reserving your spot in our community.”
