Payment Options: The payment options in each directory differ and some of the information that might help you navigate this are as follows: Private refers to private pay meaning the consumer pays out-of-pocket. LTCi stands for Long-Term Care Insurance. Private Ins. could include Medicare supplements or HMOs/ health insurance. Medicare is a federal health insurance program designed to provide health care for the elderly and the disabled. People who qualify for Social Security benefits are automatically eligible for Medicare. Medicaid is a state health insurance program designed to provide access to health services for persons below a certain income level. KIPDA stands for Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency and they offer subsidies and Medicaid waivers. LifeSpan Resources (LSR) is the Area Agency on Aging for Clark, Floyd, Harrison, and Scott Counties in Indiana that provides a variety of home and community based services. LTCi stands for long-term care insurance and helps to cover the cost of services for people who have an extended physical illness, extended disability, or a cognitive impairment. VA stands for Veterans Administration, which is a benefits program that provides financial assistance to retired veterans needing medical, surgical, and rehabilitative care. Hospice is a facility or service, which provides supportive care for terminally ill patients and their families.

There are medical Adult Day Care facilities which must be licensed. Adult Day Care facilities that are social cannot provide nursing care. Some offer pickup and delivery services within a radius.
