Resources Ways to Promote Cultural Diversity Educators have an obligation to prepare young people for the future. The future will be culturally pluralistic nations and a rapidly shrinking world. Therefore, we need to prepare all students to be culturally literate citizens of the world. Teaching students using a multicultural perspective is one way to achieve that goal. Educators need to become sensitive to learning needs and abilities, to personal interests and motivation, and to ethnic and cultural differences and similarities. Promote and foster healthy interaction among diverse groups for making decisions and solving problems. Help students become responsible for their own intellectual, social and emotional development.
