Yamuna does not want to label herself as an artist, but rather as a ‘queer activist’, aiming to create and live a ‘queer utopia where people are allowed to self narrate their bodies’. ArtEZ Diegetic Interface Project initiated by Daan van Dijk, with Deborah Mora, Michelle Feelders, Sebi Clotas Jucgla, Elise Bodt, Ties van Asseldonk, Jolie van Wijngaarden, and Yamil Oulad El Hadj These students from the Interaction Design department at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem explore parallel worlds through speculative design and design fiction. The projects alter the facts and outcomes of a specific event in the year in which the student was born. The students took their newly created alternative realities as a starting point and used the medium of an interface as a common denominator.
