Start Creating a Beautiful Home (Like, Right Now!) If you’re surrounded by 1980s wallpaper sporting geese with bonnets or you’ve cried tears over the avocado-green bathtub, sink, and matching toilet that you just can’t afford to replace right now, you might snicker (or cry harder) at the thought of making that space beautiful. I know there are challenging rooms out there, and I’m sure you have limitations. It’s pretty rare to have all the time, money, and skills required to turn every square foot into all your heart desires. No matter what your situation, though, today is a good day to start, and there is always something you can do to improve your space, even if it’s just a little at a time. (And I’m not suggesting you “improve” that avocado bathroom by taking a sledgehammer to it before your spouse gets home from work today, however tempting it might be.)
