Harthan Hall and the Coates Science wing aren’t the only places at TMI that are looking refreshed! Several other areas of campus are getting a fresh update as well. These initiatives—separate from our Building Momentum capital campaign—are funded through the school’s operating budget, made possible by the generous support of The TMI Fund and our Community Engagement Council. The stars aligned on Saturday, April 5, 2025 as 450 guests gathered to celebrate community and philanthropy at the 30th annual Stars Over TMI gala and auction. Together, our TMI community raised over $500,000 for TMI.

On Friday, May 9th, our Office of Advancement hosted a special Steele Tower Dedication and Donor Appreciation event in honor of Christina and Will Steele, TMI Parents of Max ’28, whose generous support made this transformational project possible. We are deeply grateful to the Steele Family and to everyone who contributed toward the 2024 Stars Over TMI Fund-a-Need Auction, who brought this vision to life.

A HUGE thank you to Texas Regional Bank (TRB) who has also generously donated to TMI toward a brand new scoreboard for Howell Field.

WHAT IS FUND-A-NEED?

Fund-a-Need is a special part of Stars Over TMI, TMI Episcopal’s annual fundraising gala, where guests come together to support a surprise project revealed that night. Funds are raised in real time and go directly to the featured need. Auctioneer & TMI Alumni, James L Willmann ‘96 conducting the 2025 Fund-a-need.

On Friday, April 25th, TMI welcomed nearly 70 alumni and guests back to campus for Alumni Day 2025. It was an afternoon of tradition, honors, and the joy of getting together again.

The festivities started with campus tours of what’s new at TMI from Father Scott Brown, TMI President, and Omar Valdez, Teacher of Innovation& Design, Engineering, and Robotics.

After the award ceremony, alumni and guests gathered to celebrate at the 2025 Welcome Home Reception.

The Alumni Association helps organize a variety of initiatives, including the Alumni Homecoming BBQ, Class Reunions, the Rising Alumni Luncheon, Alumni Day & Hall of Fame Awards, Alumni Giving and more! Volunteers also help foster connections between alumni and current students by visiting campus to share valuable stories, advice, and experiences.

CEC Volunteers keep our Corps of Cadets strong!

From Parades to the Convocation, there are CEC volunteers supporting our cadets. The CEC even hosts a monthly “Morning Munchies” breakfast for the Corps of Cadets, pictured above.

The Community Engagement Council, or CEC is the lifeblood of volunteerism at TMI. You’ll find these amazing parent volunteers helping everywhere on campus.
