AIR FORCE OFFICER QUALIFYING TEST (AFOQT)
The Military Testing Office will administer the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) on 16 SEP, 7 OCT, 21 OCT, 4 NOV, 18 NOV, 2 DEC, and 16 DEC 21. Individuals that are applying for a commissioning program and are in need of the AFOQT can contact the Military Testing Office @ (405) 739-2970 to schedule. Service members are required to RSVP. ACCESSING HIGHER EDUCATION TRACK
The Accessing Higher Education (HE) Briefing is designed for Service members who are considering post-secondary education. Focusing on understanding and completing the college admissions process, participants explore career and personal goals, institutional selection factors, funding factors and financial aid, and the admissions process. The monthly briefing assists participants in analyzing their career and personal interests to formulate a post-secondary education plan to meet those goals. Briefing participants analyze different types of colleges/universities, methods of instructional delivery, transferability of credit, the school’s culture, and veteran support systems. The ultimate goal is to select an institution of higher learning that will support each student’s educational goals, and be a great fit academically, socially, and culturally. Monthly briefings are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the following dates: 08 SEP, 13 OCT, 10 NOV & 08 DEC 2021. All active duty AF are encouraged to participate. RSVP required. EARN COLLEGE CREDIT THROUGH TESTING
Rose State College (RSC) is home to the National Test Center (NTC). What does this mean to you? Both civilians and military can take computer-based CLEP and DSST on the RSC campus. The computer-based testing allows you to receive results at the end of most exams. Exams are completely free to active duty with military ID card and one other form of identification. Service members must
pay out-pocket for retakes. To test, call (405) 733-7320 to schedule an appointment. Visit the Education Services Center, bldg. 201SE, for a complete list of available exams. An education counselor will be glad to assist you with selecting exams that will apply to the CCAF degree. Study guides and practice exams can be checked out from the Base Library, bldg. 5702, or accessed through the Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC). WEBSTER UNIVERSITY
Webster University allows up to 12 transfer credits based upon transfer of the following: completion from AF Command and Staff College (ACSC), Air Battle Manager Training (ABM), and/ or Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Level II certifications. Webster University also offers certificate programs. Each certificate is 12 hours of coursework that can be completed within a year or easily coupled with one of Webster’s Master of Arts programs in either Management & Leadership or Information Technology Management. Tinker Golf Club
18 holes of gently rolling golf is enjoyable for riding and walking alike. The layout presents itself with all trouble easily visible to the golfer except for the pond and nearly island green on number 15, that can’t be seen from the tee. It is a fun course to play for all ages. From juniors to seniors and everybody between. The friendliness and camaraderie is unmatched. Don’t have a group? Family Tees– A shorter course for young and beginning golfers. These forward tees marked on the cart paths on the front nine provide young and beginning golfers the same chance at par as more experienced players from regular tees.
Soccer Golf– Still available on our front nine if you aren’t really into regular golf but like soccer. Friends can play mixed matches of golf and soccer golf.
Current dress code– No vulgar shirts. Uniforms can be worn on the range and putting green but not on the course. Only golf or tennis shoes may be worn. No boots, cleats other than golf. No cutoff shorts. Golf Lover’s Day
