FREE ONLINE COURSE EARNS CCAF CREDIT Active duty Air Force personnel can earn CCAF credit for completing a FREE online course. The course is “Introduction to Culture.” The course introduces Airmen to the principles of culture in an Air Force context. It fulfills three (3) resident hours of program elective credit toward the Community College of the Air Force degree. “Introduction to Culture” is designed to enhance cross-cultural competence, making Airmen more effective in expeditionary operations. Enrollment dates are 8 - 13 MAR 2022, and class dates are 31 MAR to 13 JUL 22. COMMISSIONING The Air Force Recruiting Service has published a new Air Force Recruiting Service Active Duty Officer Training School Air Force Program Announcement (https://www.recruiting.af.mil/About-Us/AFRSLine-Officer-Accessions/). This is to be used for all boards leading to an Air Force Commission. USSF will provide a separate announcement for USSF boards. Interested service members should download the OTS guide to their computer to be able to access the attachments. The Education Services Center is hosting the next Commissioning Briefing on Thursday, 3 MAR 22 @ 9:00 a.m. Attendees must arrive by 8:50 a.m. The briefing is designed to guide service members through the variety of commissioning programs available, provide basic eligibility requirements, and offer selectability advice. Enlisted personnel that are interested in commissioning are encouraged to attend. Contact the Education Center at (405) 739-7408 for additional information or to RSVP.
2022 BRIEFING SCHEDULE UPDATE The corrected SkillBridge Briefing dates are listed below. Interested service members should contact the Education Center @ (405) 739-7408 to RSVP as seating is limited. Social distancing and a facial mask are required to participate. SKILLBRIDGE BRIEFING Briefing Time: 0900 (arrive no later than 0850) COLLEGE 101 BRIEFING Briefing Time: 0900 - 1500 (arrive no later than 0850) The “College 101” briefing is for those individuals that are applying to or are new to college. The primary focus is understanding and completing the college admissions process. Other aspects of the course include exploring career/personal goals, discussing institutional selection, explaining funding considerations, and financial aid.
