NOTICE FROM COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF THE AIR FORCE (CCAF) CCAF is experiencing a time-limited slowdown in their ability to process action requests (to include nominations for graduation). Until CCAF works through the various challenges contributing to the slowdown, service members are asked to be patient over the next several weeks. Students should not contact CCAF directly on these matters. The Education Services Center is the point of contact regarding CCAF matters and will contact CCAF on the student’s behalf. SKILLBRIDGE UDPATE There have been social media posts shared that are spreading the message that the DoD SkillBridge Program is on hold. This is not true. Service members who are interested in participating in the SkillBridge Program must attend a mandatory briefing. The SkillBridge Briefing is held monthly and an RSVP is required to attend. Briefings fill up fast so don’t delay… call the Education Services Center today @ (405) 7397408 to get scheduled. Service members should plan to attend the briefing approximately 12 to 14 months prior to separation or retirement. AVOID TUITION ASSISTANCE REIMBURSEMENT TA invoicing and reimbursement actions are handled through the Air Force Central Office at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. Are you checking your Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC) record to make sure your school is posting your grade(s)? It is easy to check. Logon to the Air Force Portal, AFVEC, and click on “FUNDING REQUEST.” View posted and missing grades. Make sure your grades are being posted by the school within 30 days after the end date of the course to avoid reimbursement action. If grades are missing from AFVEC, contact your school immediately to request that the grade(s) be posted. Avoid payroll deduction; be proactive! AF COOL Air Force Credentialing Opportunities On Line, or AF COOL, provides enlisted Airmen with an opportunity to apply for a certification exam voucher, with a lifetime cap of $4,500.
