GPA 21-02: General Plan Text Amendment - Chapter 3, 4, 7 and 8 Update
A City Initiated Major Amendment that updates text within the following chapters of the General Plan as follows: • Chapter 3 - Remove erroneous Figure 4 reference in Growth Areas section, and renumbering of exhibits. • Chapter 4 – Update to Peoria On The Go (POGO) section to reflect future expanded service areas, and address Transportation Network policies to reflect on-going efforts to expand fixed-route service and trail networks within the City of Peoria. • Chapter 7 – Update organization naming, goals, and policies to reflect successful reaccreditation of Peoria Fire-Medical Department, and adoption of their 2020-2025 Strategic Plan. • Chapter 8 – Update Table 8-1 General Plan Amendment Criteria to add “Reclassification of Collector Road to Local Roadway deemed unsubstantial by the City’s Traffic Engineer” so that it does not require a Minor General Plan Amendment. Reclassifications deemed substantial will continue to be processed as a minor amendment as before.
