The Queen’s Royal Court 62nd Annual Queen of Hearts Ball Local charities and social organizations gathered to honor women who provide “exemplary service” to the community at the 62nd annual Queen of Hearts Ball held at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront. Organizations nominate members who are then selected by an anonymous group of community leaders to be one of the six Princesses on the Queen’s Royal Court. The Queen of Hearts is chosen from past courts. In addition to the presentation of the court, the black-tie event included dinner, dancing and live and silent auctions. Each year, proceeds from the ball are distributed to local charities. The 2020 recipients are Boley Centers Inc. and the Celma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation. Boley Centers, established in 1970, serves individuals with mental disabilities, homeless individuals and families, veterans and youth in the community. The Celma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation was founded in 2003 by family and friends of the late Celma Mastry to help fight the “silent killer” of ovarian cancer. The 2020 Queen’s Royal Court includes Queen Nora Pearson and Princesses Gentry Adams, Barbara Deininger, Cynthia Gramberg, Pamela Hatton, Celma Mastry and Mary Reed. Mayor Rick and Kerry Kriseman.
