Member Engagement Signature Events Draw New Members, Create Connections

Our Golf Classic, sponsored by Piedmont Newnan Hospital and Club Corp, and our Political HobNob, sponsored by Coweta-Fayette EMC, were just two of the signature events where our Chamber members got to make new connections in 2016.

MEETING NEW PEOPLE face to face is one of the most valuable aspects of Chamber membership. In 2016, many of our members took advantage of these great networking opportunities through committee involvement and attendance at our signature events. These events are designed to create connections, and often the networking results in leads generation. In 2016, The Chamber facilitated these connections through six signature events: the Annual Meeting, March Madness, the 31st Anniversary Golf Classic, the Small Business Showcase and Awards Celebration, the Political HobNob and the Winter Wonderland Big Expo. Our new “State of the Community” lunch series, ribbon cuttings, BusinessAfter-Hours networking events, NuLink Early Bird Forums, the Coffee Call Business Card Exchange, Power Networking Lunches and other meetings created even more opportunities for meeting new people and prospective customers.

Programs Focused on Small Business Growth SMALL BUSINESSES make up a large portion of Coweta County’s business community, and they are the backbone of our Chamber as well. The “Small Business Matters” initiative provided opportunities specifically tailored for small businesses, such as Leads to Business, Power Networking Lunches, and the annual recognition of business success through the Small Business Awards. Dogwood Veterinary Hospital and Laser Center of Newnan was named the 2016 “Overall Winner” for the Small Business of the Year Award.

Dogwood Veterinary Hospital and Laser Center was the recipient of the 2016 Small Business of the Year Award.
